It looks like High Moon is seriously listening to what people are saying about FOc from the demo  here are some tweets

So it seems HM can make changes, at least to the demo, without a TU. I say this cause now on the Titan the R-Infinity Finder is now locked and the Battle Sentry is also now locked on the Scientist with the Heal Beam now unlocked.

Wait, they made a balance change patch or they have it ready for the full release?

I'm all paranoid about the final game because they can't possibly make changes when the disks are already in production... right? I guess it'll just be a patch you're requested to add when you start.

The patch will be for the demo. For the full game yes it's to late to put a patch on disc the games already been sent out for production so they have enough copies to send out by the release date. Any patch for the full game will be in a day one or soon after patch

 

Just for clarification...the demo levels aren't actual full length levels, right? They're insanely short compared to WFC. I figured they are about 1-2 checkpoints worth of the actual full game.

 

For Bumblebees I would say that probably is the full length since it ends with the megatron and prime fight, but it is also basically just a training level.
Vortex on the other hand definatly ends at a checkpoint and is not the full level, since you're sent to take out a bridge and the demo level ends just as the bridge comes into view and your given more instructions.

 

Well yes but mostly no, it seems that HM can make balance changes without having to put out a Title Update/patch. Now I'm guessing anything more substantial then tweaking weapon damage values, like adding barrel roll back to mp, would require a TU.

Developers are starting to make there games so that they can make balance changes though the backend of a game. This allows them to not have to put out a TU/patch. This is a good thing cause first off the MS cert process can sometimes take weeks to get out a patch, and a patch/TU on Xbox at least cost around 40,000 dollars.

 

They didn't actually patch it, they just tinkered with the settings on their end. It's easier that way and doesn't require a downloaded patch.
