so i had this funny urge to modify the impreza like i do my cars....(well like i use to) so I figured why not upgrade silverstreak first to an STI and add some wheels. I was gonna give him a new front bumper off a 1:24 scale model but for now, im just sticking with and STI conversion. So I thought, since I have a smokescreen and he's an STI, why not swap parts. I wasn't to keen on his rally style spoiler so i might actually try to acquire an STI spoiler off another model later. wheels are RAYS wheels off my impul g35 model. now fair warning, i know a lot of people are not into the whole flush, camber, stretch tire, tcrooked wheel looking type of fitment/style....so if you're not, sorry, I am. lol. oh yeah, he doesn't roll either. :p

decided to add a little gold paint to the calipers to resemble brembos and painted the slotted rotors silver. too bad the rears didn't have that kind of detailing too.

while i was dismantling silverstreak, I decided to swap out some red parts for the gray parts of smokescreen. I have smokescreens head on there temporarily as I have to swap faces with my silverstreak (if i can find that damn head) as he is missing it.

might turn this guy into blue streak which means imma have to swap the red legs back on. lol. i dunno, we'll see.

Not bad, but you do realize the feet are drasticly mistransformed, right?

needs more low...you could get them tucked if you throw some more cambers in those bad boys and run some 215 equivalents..lol..if you were using the scale model you could deform the wheel arches to let them look pulled
just playing..looks good..cant wait to see that spoiler on

Lol. I know. If only I could pull these fenders. Lol. I actually tried to cut under the rear fenders...I gave up as I knEww I couldn't pull it off in the front without sacrificing transformation.

@nemesisconvoy: yeah, I realized that. I had to move it around to get to the third screw to take apart the leg. Was lazy to transform him back after all that. Pulling apart and reinstalling.

Oh wow. It's been so long since I've seen an Alternators Impreza that I gotta ask - how is the brake caliper detail attached to the toy? Is it a thing where you could pop the front wheels off another version of the mold and slap 'em on the back and then there'd be calipers?

I can dig it. Loving the new wheels.

I did the same thing....well, kinda. I took a Smokescreen, stripped just about all the sponsor labels off, swapped out the mirrors, gave him Camshaft hands, modded the head a bit, removed and filled in the spoiler holes from the trunk, then painted the wheels, hood and trunk an ultra flat black....would like to replace the wheels with something better, but have yet to find a set I really like.

The Subaru and Jeep are two of my faves from this line....look forward to the finished product.

It's actually the stock calipers. It's just molded in black so u might not notice. That's why when I removed the stock wheels, I painted them to bring them out more. Although I should add a pair to the Rears as those are missing.
