Hard mode is my training mode... cool homage theme for stage 1, and once you can actually survive a while on that mode, bump it back down to normal, and you'll notice how much better you've actually gotten. Plus there's less trafic running around trying to kill you.
WOW, I would get this but I don't like the classic controller for the Wii. If this comes to the PSN I will pick it up otherwise I will let my Wii stay in hibernation.
This, pretty much to my dismay. That and I'm more interested in this http://ps3.ign.com/articles/981/981538p1.html
And the fact that this new Contra is on the Wii is ironic to no one else? Say what you want about Grand Theft Auto and Resident Evil (a series where the beginning of the game typically starts out very hard until the player gets a good inventory) but the Wii is absolutely the worst offender of easy games this generation. Most Wii games will instruct the player in a certain set of motions to go through, but you could largely just replicate the action of milking a cow and achieve the same result. Or how about Mario Galaxy? That game rewards you with an extra life about every three minutes and provides reminders for things you've done 100 times. My Wii has pretty much been set-piece that occasionally glows blue since Smash Bros. Maybe Punch Out will change that, but I'm waiting to hear if the motion controls actually work. As opposed to, say, Samba de Amigo.
Dude, i am fucking sykd, I LOVE CONTRA MAN, LOVE IT. im so surprissed to see that they are going to make another game for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wholly Poopenschitt... I agree with most of this post. Contra for the Wii? YES PLEASE. RIGHT NOW THANK YOU. Well, looks like I'll finally have a reason to break out the points for a WiiWare game. I've yet to buy a single one. My Virtual Console is full of classic goodness though.
Remember when I said, It's not HD, it's not on the PS3 or 360... so they show little interest... May I present exhibit A... No big deal, I didn't care about Mega Man 9, so we're even.
Didn't get the ending? Contra 4 won't even give you the last two levels on Easy. The game says Man up or go play Cooking Mama bitches! Contra 4 was a manly blast of awesome. I also liked all the unlockable characters you could use. Even if playing as a robot or chick seems odd to me in Contra.
Yeah they have that too. Lucia. There are actually quite a few sweet unlockables in Contra 4. You start the game with Bill, Lance, Mad Dog, and Scorpion (palette swaps) and then can unlock: -Probotector, Lucia, Sheena, Jumbo and Sully (older style sprites). You can also unlock Contra (NES version) and Super C (NES). That's a lot of Contra in a very small box!
