but now it has all gone to shit

Plan take classics seeker mold and rid grimlock (from landfill team)
combine them for a more g1 accurate scavenger

and this is where my plan fell apart a waist and hip joints
the way the legs are made the ball joint sets slighty lower than the top of his treads (on the leg) making it impossible to fit a normal deluxe set of hips that i have found becuase you cant line the ball joint and its counter part up to

    so im stuck

where does the seeker come in you ask
it was going to be the cab part of the track hoe with a perfect flat surface of a back and arms that collapsed inward to make a perfect square

but now im kinda stuck help me brain storm

wll i have made some progress and thought (as usual) maybe pics would help my crappy explaination.

i got my torso figured out now i just need to figure out a chest i need something that the arms collapse into but after getting the torso i took one of my seekers and kind of lined it up over the torso i have and the arms are way short.

the lower part of the torso has a spot for a hinge (i would need a double one to put in its place) i want teh lower torso to collaps like pictured and the upper torso to kinda of stack on top of it to form teh cab of scavenger which should hold the arms and head sounds easy right hahah

i need suggestions here guys im at a standstill

it's unfortunate that there aren't more steam shovel TF's, as that Grimlock is a really shitty figure. It's unstable, the legs are spindly and don't stick together. I gave up on making a deluxe-scale Scavenger a while ago due to difficulty and am working on a scout class one using a g1 Scavenger and a Cybertron Clocker. Good luck with this though

i bought a second drift which i havnt taken out of the yet for the upper torso but i may end up scratch building it completely unless anyone has suggestions for upper body (the tank part is done i just need an upper torso that i can add the parts onto that the arms fold into)

you maybe could use the waist and leg assembly from a armada hoist
