I know it's early, but I'm at a certain point in my life where I kinda have to plan things early in advance so I wanted to post this up and see if any other connecticut collecters are interested in a Gathering for the Animated Toyline Release in Connecticut. Here's what I was thinking...

Lisbon area, gather around 6 or 7 at Landings Walmart and all grab what we need, then head over to Old Times for Breakfast and admire our newly gotten swag!

Let me know what you think, like I said, I'm trying to plan this early for a number of reasons, money of course being the primary, but also to take the day off of work...yes, I plan on taking the day off to play with the new Animated Toys, call me a child if you must but it's fun to me plus I have vacation time, as well as if people want/need a carpool one can be arranged.

If there is another Walmart that is better for people I am willing to go any within reasonable distance, I just figured Lisbon would be our best bet because it's 24 hours and if we get their early we could alway hang in Video Games or something.

but is there a set day for a world wide release on these toys? It would be a bummer for you all to meet up and your Walmart not having them in yet.

 

There is not day set yet, I'm just putting this up early so people know that there is something being planned so when the date is announced we can be ready.

Or do you mean what if there isn't a solid release like there was with the movie? : / I actually didn't think of that, I just assumed there would be considering it was such a hot item with the movie toys. I dunno...if that's not the case then we'll have to figure something else out I guess.

 

As of now, there is no set date for the toys to be released. They're going to show up like any other mass-release TV-series Transformer toys. This could (and probably will... The Movie stuff coming out on the 2nd went really well, at least around here) change between now and May-June when the stuff will start showing up.

 

I all but live at the Lisbon Wal*Mart, and wouldn't mind meeting my former "competition"  

Though, the "no way to know when they hit the shelves" issue might be a problem  

I need to get out more generally, so I'm in if this goes anywhere

For now I'm hoping for a mass release date, that's our best bet. I'll keep an eye on things and if it doesn't turn out to be a mass release I'll ask around Walmart to see when they'll get some. But we've got a LOOOOOOOOONG time till then unfortunately

 

UPDATE!!! We have an official date!! If you go by the newest line up of merc posted by Hasbro the official release is June 22nd. Now that the date is set, reserve it and keep in touch as the day draws near ^^

This should be fun!
