    I like the animation.

Can't feel too excited about the whole generation-conflict or/and the "tech going murderous" angles, I've seen them too many times.

Anyway, it looks like it will be a fun family film.

Some of the jokes worked for me. Hopefully the movie delivers on the influences of social media and electronics on our lives.

Yea, no I agree with the original title here. The 'new' title is a very generic one word title, that makes me think it's about connect 4 or something. The original title works way better. Tells you everything there is to know about what the movie is about. The Mitchells VS Machines, works best.

Yeah I prefer the original title. The theme of family reconnecting and the parallel with the machines is pretty obvious, but I think it’s more fitting.

    Found this on social media:

Name change makes even more sense now. This is what I mean by generic.

I for one like "The Mitchells vs The Machines" a lot better. I always prefer unique and one-of-a-kind titles over a single word that's trying to sound cool...that's a naming trend I'm getting a bit sick of (along with the last name trend like "Solo"...that's the absolute worst, as far as I'm concerned). It always feels very corporate and uncreative to me, like they just want something that will easily come up in a Google search, or something that people can text about easily. I like it when movie titles feel like they could only fit that particular movie and nothing else. A title like "Connected" could probably fit a lot of movies that have come out in the past few years (essentially anything that has a focus on technology). Like, they could rename Ralph Breaks the Internet "Ralph: Connected" or call The Emoji Movie "Connected" and they would feel just as natural.

I actually almost forgot about this movie. I remember seeing this trailer almost a year ago, and thinking it looked pretty entertaining. I'm glad they seem to be gearing up to release it. I honestly haven't been thrilled with a lot of recent animated movies, but I'm hoping this will be fun.

Yea, Connected makes it sound like a sequel without the title in front. Or a horror film of some kind. Like one of the low budget horror films. You know, the ones about the haunted objects. Like the one about the magic wish box of death, the one about the gators in the crawl space, or the one about the phone app that kills people. Sometimes one word/short movie titles work, but not often. Like, Joker, it really works, but usually it tells you exactly what you're going to get in the film. Which is generic, uninspired recycled garbage repackaged into a new and 'exciting' film.

The Mitchells VS The Machines, tells you exactly what it's about, while at the same time, making it not sound/seem generic. Which is a good thing when going into films made by Sony. Sony's films often have the reputation of being generic, and forgettable trash, after all. This new/old title makes it sound more interesting. And, the trailer, which makes it look like they're fighting skynet, also makes it interesting. Hell, I bet it's a better Terminator movie than the last 2 or 3 Terminator films.

I heard this movie was one of Sony Animation's funniest movies, so I'll check it out when I have the chance.

Didn’t the MythBusters debunk that one in an early episode?
