TFW2005 has learned through various sources that there will be a limited release of a black repaint to Alternators Optimus Prime, confirmed to be Nemesis Prime, as previously reported from our sponsor Action-HQ. This release is a Hasbro exclusive, giving more confirmation that Takara has cancelled the release of the "Ginrai" and "Black Convoy" Binaltech verisons. Whether Nemesis Prime will be released a la Swerve, one case assortment and that's it, or mixed in as a variant a la Marvel Legends, is unknown. Stay tuned for more details.

 

this is exciting new, but scary at the same time. I live in a smaller town, and more often than not, I don't get to see certain releases.... I had to buy swerve off ebay, and if this is limited enough, I feel that internet buyin will be horribly jacked up in pricing!! I hope I'm wrong, maybe he'll be released, just only in one wave or something, or else hasbro toy shop will have it *crosses fingers*

I agree. This is VERY exciting but also scary. I know I soooooooooooooo hate exclusives because they are hard to get sometimes but damnit-- this is gonna be ONE HELL OF A TREASURE HUNT!

For all of you guys-- one bit of advice. Put in your pre-orders NOW. You know this figure is gonna fetch mega bucks on ebay.

Kudos to Hasbro. This is a good way to put in some hype and excitement in the line.

(Just make sure you produce enough exclusives for everyone.   )

 

Question is will he have Decepticaon symbols or Autobot? I'm thinking the former but I'm sure I'm not alone in hoping it's a black Prime with Auobot symbols - all ready and waiting for a Swindle head-swap et voila... Trailbreaker.

I would imagine that he'd have decepticon symbols on him, cause he's the nemesis, but what do I know?

I pre-ordered as well. The Alternators line is the only one I intend on keeping complete and I don't want to risk it. Now my wallet's in tears...  

 

That's assuming he'll even show up on the pre-order forms.   I don't remember Swerve ever showing up on the club store.

Why? The Takara version is obviously just delayed, they're eventually going to release it as a giftset with Swerve, Wildrider, Black Widow, Ginrai, Moledive, Blender and Armbullet.  

 

Feh. Don't like this limited business at all. That shit infects enough lines already. Hope it's just a "briefpack" like Swerve and not some uber-limited online thing. With Alts shipping to WM regularly again, I'm pretty confident I could find it even easier than Swerve if he was a one asst. deal.

 

And I thought importing their previous giftsets was expensive enough....  

 

Well the fact that it looks like its going to be limited kinda sucks, but I guess its better to know that now than after its come and gone.
