The Rampage art kinda reminds me of the toy's jackhammer mode.

Err..yess..that's exactly what it is, actually. :)

This piece of Sideways art makes the toy look slightly more accurate, thankfully.

Sorry, but that's a bit insulting to the person who made it. Where is the line between concept art and fan art anyway? There's some excellent fan art out there, but this is perfect concept art: it shows the concept of Rampage, while in his jackhammer mode.

I'm a (beginning) concept artist myself, and it's not like concept artists are ungodly beings..they're people like you and me who are talented at drawing...

I think he means it doesn't really fit the style of TF concept art we've seen up until now. It looks like...an actual well-rounded picture :p  It's just different.

In fact it's WAY WAY BETTER than most of the "actual" ROTF concept art we've seen up until now, and a good chunk of the art from the original movie (although all the Ben Proctor? Ben Procter? art is awesome).

Trust me no one thinks concept artists are gods...you just need to look at the Terminator Salvation art to realize that ;)

    This.

Which is definitely cool that this mode might actually be used in the film and not just some"bend-figure-in-awkward-position" third alt. that is usually pulled from someone's ass at Hasbro.

Oh, it's definitely used, at least for Red Rampage.

Ah right..but we shouldn't forget that there is not one concept artist working on it..but a couple..and even though they all try to do the same style, there will always be personal differences. Even though the pic of Rampage is different doesn't make it less official, it's probably just painted by somebody else. :)

Most of Procter's work are static models that work to define what the overall look of the character must be like. The picture of Rampage is obviously meant to illustrate how his jackhammer mode will look and work, thus there is way more dynamic in the picture. :)

Ya know, seeing this jackhammer mode ca makes a little sense, someone said that mixmaster used the weapon platform... Form... In the movie, so maybe rambage will be using that third mode as well.

I get the feeling that Rampage might only have the jackhammer mode, and that he doesn't have legs in the film.

The reason I say this is that all the people who have seen the film so far have mentioned the red Rampage as being "bouncy", and the novel mentions a Con that "pogo-sticks" around everywhere, which looks like what Rampage is doing in the image.

Can anybody who has seen the film confirm or deny?

But it's possible he will stand on his normal legs, but converts to jackhammer mode when he starts walking/attacking..which, let's be honest, is probably all he will do when he's not in vehicle mode.

Sideways looks a lot closer to his Robot Heroes incarnation in this picture.

Awesome. I've been really wanting to see a clear render of Sideways ever since that same image of him was leaked (although in lesser quality) a while back.

I hope all these types of concept art and renders are what we can expect in the upcoming art book.
