Why do you say this? The figures and accessories look legit. Maybe the seller is dangling the set out there to see what kind of interest it may generate with an absurd reserve that he knows will not be met on ebay. Maybe it has a (somewhat) realistic reserve. Don't know, but the set look like the real deal.

That is my auction of the Menasor

Hello all, I am glad to be a part of the TFW2005 community.... I just joined the board.

I am getting a lot of questions about this Menasor piece (and since I have much more to come) and I am trying to figure a way that I can communicate to all you guys without being overwhelmed. So if you ask me a question I will try to answer, but I am getting A LOT of questions, so be patient.

The most important thing for me is to help provide information and pictures of the items from the collection to the trading/collecting community. Not every body can afford some of the Ultra rare stuff... But every body deservers to know about them and see detailed photos of them.

I am in the inventory part of the disposition of the collection. Frankly it is much like an archaeological dig; I have to be careful, I can't just yank out a T-Rex skull without screwing it up. I have hit boxes in the collection where there was a 10k carded figure (not Transformers, before you ask) stored with its blister up against a $5 trading card set. Which is sort of like finding a copy of the Constitution in a box with an cheap knock off of a medieval flail.

    Anyway, glad to be here

Yes, it is the real deal. I have already been offered above the reserve price for an off-ebay deal. Based on that it would seem a reasonable reserve.

My name is Mike...nice to meet you

I'll ask since we're all thinking it :)  Can you reveal some of the other things you will be listing? Even a large group shot of some of the items would be great!

    Damn!

Something like this would have to pop up just after I've spent all of my money at Botcon.

Take out a loan or use plastic until you can sell off some stuff.

    Seeing more stuff

Sorry man not right now, I am knee deep to a tall giraffe in box right now, doing damage control (sadly some items damaged from poor storage) and inventorying /assigning item number to every piece.

I will be getting it all out here soon.

If I sell my vital organs and make enough money, can I have the set post-mortem?

As a long time, and semi-retired collector, a hearty thank you for cataloging your items. That is, perhaps, the most important thing that can be done with a collection such as this, particularly the paperwork-type items. I'm very much looking forward to what comes to light from this find. I lurk on "rebelscum.com" and read about Star Wars "finds" from time to time, but it is very rare that we get to see one in TF. Thank you for coming forward!
