v3 of the KO has silver pants but also has silver smokestacks, grill, gas tanks, and bumper instead of chrome. It still has the yellow waist details but I disassembled mine and sprayed those parts silver as well. I don't remember what was different between v1 and v2. There's a v4 now which is just v3 again but with like some dirtying up.

I bought silverpants to use as my toy version 'cuz I figure we're never going to get a chrome pants version (all those moving and pegging parts would never last in chrome plus the added thickness would mess up transformation) but I still wanted the chrome parts so I switched the pants from my v3 onto my v1. Someday I'll get back to work on it and finish the windows (dark tinted clear windows instead of blue) and the rest of the details (need to add silver stripes to his arms and to the truck mode as well as a few more toy stickers).

 

Looks like you could use some Raid.

I need to swap Blowpipe's arms with Siege Aimless grey ones to give him G1 accurate colors.

 

Are those repro labels on SS 86 Jazz or something else? Looks great and leaves me wanting to dig mine out (put him away last time I cleaned and I'm having problems finding him). May have to do that when I find him.

 

Yeah, they're from toyhax. I did a little bit of custom work on him as well - filled in the peg hole in his roof (I hate giant roof peg holes) and added a couple of small paint accents (painted the white hinge part of the rear window blue to match and painted the rims gold).

Any plans on adding to this "attack of the killer bee's"? TW Bii, HS Centurion, etc.?

 

Kiddo said wanted to switch the legs between Blackarachnia figures, but started to freak out when I gently took off the forearm... only wanted the ends of the spider legs swapped... hadnt seen that before so here they are with half-swap comparison.
