I know FansToys showed a silhouette forever ago, but honestly I think the company I'd most like to see take a crack at this guy next would be Iron Factory.

    MP-17 vs. MP17+

MP-17 is my toy version Prowl
    mp-17+ is my toon version

Love them both, I am not doing this with my whole collection but Prowl is a favorite of mine.

I don’t have a comparison picture, but I do have a comparison request/ topic for everybody: putting together a good chug scale dinobot team.

From what I know, you’ve got Toyworld, Fansproject, and Planet X to choose from.

Toyworld’s dinobots don’t really interest me, so I’m basically left with Fansproject and Planet X- and here’s my thing with those 2 companies: I don’t think either one nailed their dinobot teams perfectly.

I think Fansproject’s dinobots have highs and lows- they made mistakes in some places, but they also succeeded in others- it wasn’t a perfect product streak from start to finish.

I could also say the same thing about Planet X’s dinobots- in some areas they hit the mark and in others they totally missed it.

So if I’m wishing to build a nice chug dinobot team, I’m thinking I might have to mix these 2 product lines up- and cherry pick.

    So far, here’s my idea:
    1) FP Severo (Grimlock)
    2) FP Pinchar (Snarl)
    3) FP Cubrar (Slag)
    4) PX Neptune (Sludge)
    5) PX Caelus (Swoop)
    6) PX Triton (Paddles)

For those who own these, what do you think? Good combo?

I hear you. I also couldn’t care less about a guy who never showed up in cartoons on my continent.

Now which one is best and where can I get it the cheapest and fastest?

haha exactly! I think he was in the Rebirth exactly long enough to flip thru all 6 modes and shoot some low hanging fruit. I did have the original as a kid... man, he was yuuuge back then.

If I could go back in time, I would tell younger me not to buy Hydra. Blue Hanzo has two glaring issues (shoulder looseness, which can be managed and the weird punched out section that seems to be common on one of the forward car mode pieces). He also has chrome weps, which I think are a plus. Hydra has been fiddly in a few places, making him harder to pose and I am not a fan of the new FT metallic paint (Quietus and now Hydra) because none of my other bots have it. It just sets them apart too much for my taste. I am going to mess with Hydra more over the weekend and see if I can figure out if I've done something wrong... but he can't even stand with his feet slightly spread apart due to weak friction hip joints (which have teeth in them... like they were supposed to be ratcheted). Weak ankle tilt, weak heel spurs. *grumble*

No. Don't get me wrong, the FP set worked a frickin' miracle, but it was an upgrade to a toy I didn't bother to pick up. Same for that upgrade that was floating around for the FoC Bruticus.
