So, with this beast of a virus going on and all of us sitting on our arses doing nothing, I had a fun idea. Here’s a little backstory: You have, no doubt, heard of the IDW 2005 reboot. I enjoyed those comics up until around phase 2, after the war. I’ve come up with a new, exciting prospect: Together, we, the TransFormers community, can make our very own continuity. We can make it exactly how we want it, and best of all, anyone can add an issue. But, to avoid continuity errors and spam, I’ve come up with some rules. We will have a system of people in place to maintain order. An editor can decide what is canon and give the title of editor to others. So we already have a caste system over a comic. You can post your own comic; but, pm an editor with your story outline first. Editors should decide if this comic fits in with the others. Then, an editor can declare your post canon or not. Only one “Deadpool” dialog (witty, fourth-wall breaking line) per issue. Violators may have their comic labeled non-canon. You can delete your non-canon issues; however, I would strongly advise you not to. Your work is welcome and no doubt excellent besides some rule-breaking. But an editor’s ruling can be overturned by another editor, and your comic could be canonized or removed from canon in the future. Have fun. Don’t bash other’s comics. Constructive criticism only. Editors include: @loof @Scarlet knight Here are some storyline ideas to get us started: Powerdasher Zetar origins as a comedian-turned miner-turned wrecker. Wreckers story where everyone except Impactor dies; a new generation of wreckers begins! Mixmaster lands on an alien world, gets lost, and learns the ways of the Jedi. And whatever you can come up with! Remember to pm Editors to recieve the go-ahead for your story outline.
Civil war erupts on Cybertron between two opposing parties. The Autobots are overseen by two brilliant minds: Sentinel and (my poor excuse for a) Nova Prime. Insane Galvatron leads the Decepticon campaign. Mixmaster is sent to scout for base locations. But Autobot guns severely damage the ship. Galvatron is infuriated by this news. Crashed on a new world, Mixmaster finds himself in front of a strange creature.
Mixmaster assumes an attack position by switching his arms and legs, anticipating the creature's attack. But it shows kindness, and offers to transform his life. Mixmaster learns new values and discovers new abilities. He becomes close to his master, and begins questioning the Decepticon mantra he was raised on. He becomes smarter and more kind. He continues to discover his potential. But his teacher gives him a disturbing hallucination of the future. What does it mean? How can he prevent this prophecy from becoming reality?
I've compiled a timeline for our continuity so far: Quintessons create transformers as slave servants. 2 million years later, transformers rebel, starting The Old War. 1 million years into the war, Transformation is discovered. Another million years later, the war ends, and the Quintessons are sent away. A year later, a crude caste system is in place. It is soon replaced by four "Primes." 20 years later, there are thirteen primes. Megatronus falls into darkness and murders Micronus and Solus. 2 years later, Megatronus is finally caught and brought to justice. In the aftermath of his execusion, Nova Prime takes command. He decides to make it much more difficult to become a prime. His, Alpha Trion's, and Vector's followers form the early autobots. A million years later, only one Prime, Corvus, has been accepted during Nova's regime. Nova makes it so only autobots can be primed, causing outrage. 2 days after the announcement, anti-autobot protests arise. Nova primes Orion Pax, a civilian, to quell the protests; It's found Pax is an autobot, and violence ensues. Within a year, a new faction arises under a gladiator's rule. He defiantly takes the name of the fallen.
And now, we return to Cybertron. P: Sentinel! The Decepticons have gotten inside! SP: So I heard. SP: Punch, gather some Autobots. Head to the Decepticon stasis air field. Make sure they don’t escape. SP: Optimus! I have come to help protect the space bridge! Start the evacuations! OP: Sentinel, is their any news from outside? SP: Bruticus has been assembled. OP: Impossible! There aren’t five Decepticon combiner components! SP: It is reported there was a traitor in our midst. UM: Punch! Hurry! While Nova distracts him! The distraction doesn’t last long against the fury of Bruticus. But it’s enough for the Autobots to escape.
UM: Here we are. P: Where are we? 6S: The Decepticon airfield and seeker prison. UM: Sixshot. 6S: Maximus. UM: Magnus. 6S: Ah. Congratulations on the promotion. UM: Quit the pleasantries. Show me your system log. 6S: This about that battle in Iacon?...You know I keep my word. The logs aren’t tampered. No escapees since Skywarp. UM: Very good. Punch, Powerglide, we’re done here. P: Say, you’re a Decepticon! 6S: Ex. You’re very observant. I like that.
Two months later, Iacon falls. Total war has begun. Meet the Wreckers. (L to R: Scorchscreen, Impactor, Zetar, and Crossroads) This iteration is codenamed Team Buzzard, and are notorious for obnoxious and cruel destruction. They’ve never failed to serve the Autobots. But on a routine destroy-the-factory mission, they meet a new war commander, Sixshot. He is ruthless and intelligent. One night, stuck in a trench, Zetar annoyingly asks about retirement. Z: I’m planning on becoming a textbook writer. I’ve seen at least enough to write three volumes. I: Shut up. By the next day, even he begins to be filled with gloom at their situation. The loss of Crossroads is shocking. Graciously donating most of his body, they will become a suicide bomb. Zetar will meanwhile launch into space and contact the Autobots. Zetar’s signal shows the commanders a giant fireball destroying the factory. As he receives new limbs, Zetar regrets not giving his life with his comrades. He vows to make a large chapter or five about their heroic exploits.
Two months before the fall of Iacon Bruticus has reached the space bridge, and only a few Autobots haven’t escaped. At the Decepticon airfield... 6S: Galvatron, I will not break my word to Ultra Magnus! I will not release your seekers! G: If you don’t break promises, what about your oath to the Decepticons? 6S: My oath was to Megatron. G: Megatron is no more! I do not have to wait for you! [hits Sixshot] Flywheels! Bring them online and remove the restrictions! After just defeating Bruticus, the Autobots are caught by surprise and overwhelmed. This is why the airfield was made, so the Decepticon air dominance could not be used. The Autobots must run, letting the Autobot Capital building fall. Hundreds of Decepticon warriors regroup, making Autobot defeat nearly inevitable.
