O.O The newtype for August already out I just got July?. Well Teen Titans #26 (saw a cool splash page of Raven in Smallville (I think) and well I gotta see peoples reacation to that) Whatever I've missed and hope is still in my pull. Look for the old Superman/Batman issues on the Supergirl Story. (I know I know shoulda been getting it before.)
Damn, I missed JSA Classified #1 while browsing today. Wildguard: Fool's Gold #2 (of 2): Great stuff. Todd Nauck has a talent for combining the funny and the serious, and this issue has both in spades, plus a bit of character development. Birds of Prey #84: Features Babs at her toughest (see: last page) and most vulnerable. Hopefully next issue's conclusion to the story arc will be just as strong. House of M #4 (of 8): The strongest issue since Issue #1, if only because the plot is FINALLY starting to move somewhere. You'd almost think it was a 24-issue series the way it's paced now (well ... not counting the tie-ins and one-shots. Doh.) Spider Man: House of M #2 (of 5): Jonah gets the spotlight, and the dude is kind of nuts. Also, we get to see what happens when Peter is careless with Rhino. Incredible Hulk #84: Issue 2 of the House of M tie-in, and it's as good as the first. The missile bit is classic. Cable & Deadpool #17: Supposedly a House of M tie-in, but you can't really tell. Mr. Sinster serves barbeque. Adventures of Superman #642: Part 3 of Sacrifice. This is what OMAC Project SHOULD have been. The Authority: Revolution #10 (of 12): The showdown begins here. The mystery behind the presence of the Carriers begins to come clear. I wonder if Ellis had that one in his notes when he created the series, or if it's just a really, really good retcon. Day of Vengeance #4 (of 6): "I spent most of the next fifty years as a drunk. Flash forward to now, when I'm one of a handful of idiots who think we can prevent the end of the world." Yeah, Bobo rules. Hell, almost all the characters featured in this mini-series are way more interesting than the other B-list characters in the DC universe. Makes you wonder why it took so long to give them the spotlight. Teen Titans #26: Raven visits a tormented Superboy. Enjoy it, because Rob Liefeld gets to puke on the pages for the next two issues. Next issue's cover art is gag-tastic. -XCN-
