It looks like comicbook.com did an interview with John Warden during sdcc about the upcoming Transformers War For Cybertron Netflix series.

So after watching the interview it looks like they mostly talk about Unicron and the brand itself. John Warden goes into the netflix series a little bit at the end but if any mods see this, it might be more appropriate to name this thread comicbook.com interview or something.

 

This interview deserves some attention. Nice discussions.

 

Good find. My current suspicion is that the IDW comic starts a good amount of time before the war started and explains the reasons (in some depth  ) and the Netflix series will begin with war already having broken out. So it’s possible that the two will coexist and possible (but not likely) that they’ll be the same continuity.

I hope that A) the series has professional voice actors B) the series has a voice director that can get good performances out of the actors C) the series has professional voice actors and a voice director that can get good performances out of them.

I like the talk of new animation style. The whole article reads like a prewritten marketing hype pitch, but I'm at least interested in seeing how this looks and plays out.

This series was something I hoped for when TFP and the Aligned universe died, so I'm glad to see it getting a chance.

 

Proffesional VAs is a must.

Hasbro has tight PR. All this is probably what they were told to say when asked about it.
