Yesterday I received Straxus a full month earlier then I expected. Gotta say. Love it. Bigger and more threatening then his Generations Darkmount. Sadly Darkmount is in storage, so i can't post both together.

Compared to Galvatron, he has more a fair few remoulded parts. Like back panel, chest, head, forarms, shins (knees are completely different while the bottom is the same), tank treads and crotch plate. He feels better then Galvatron.

His cannon mode looks pretty close to his comic appearance. And the new "wings" still have wheels on them.

Sadly the Decepticon throne is out of his reach. His back kibble is just too big.

And here are some comparison shots.

So yes, a very nice figure. If your a fan of the character or the UK comics, i think you will love this figure.

I haven't read the comic and I already love him, are they going to make comic Blaster with Scrounge to go with Straxus?

No idea. I haven't heard anything about them. As far as i know, you can get either legacy or SS86 Blaster, and Takara Combiner Wars Computron set to get Scrounge.

Huh. I'm not home to check, but the knees weren't a separate part from the shins, were they? Happy to hear they're starting to ship. Did you get yours from Pulse?

If you look at the front comparison shot between Galvatron and Straxus, they are similar design, but different.

I got it from an Australian store on ebay who was expecting it in September.

Good review, and that shot of Straxus stepping out of the box is great.

I really liked the Galvatron mold, I'm not as attached to this character so I wasn't spending leader-class money on it, but I am interested. I do feel like this could work at mainstream release but would need more color to break up the singular blue look there.

Gosh I remember loving this character in the comics. The blaster scrounge arc was really cool.

Great review, really. As much as I loved the character, I'm surprised at myself I didn't immediately preorder it, but I have become very selective lately.

Just not sure if I like how this one looks. Maybe it's a case where my imagination of him in the comic was better than plastic form?

Do the black accents on the arm seem removable with a bit of rubbing alcohol?

Isn't it finishing with the fourth set, Xaaron vs. Flame?

I had "The Bridge to Nowhere" Marvel issue when I was a kid. This figure is a must. He looks great next to Galvatron.

Sorry but it's the Hasbro Computron that had Scrounge, the Takara one had way more retooling.

Mine arrived today. Looks and feels amazing. Incredibly happy that Hasbro decided to dive into a comic subline and really hope there's more to come in the future.

Well, it seems that comics will be replacing SS86 once it’s finished (so probably around 2027)

    I have a feeling that’ll be mostly IDW1 stuff though…
