Except that Scattershot hasn't been available "online" anywhere to date. Unless I missed something, you cannot buy a toy online and return it if it hasn't been stocked by any known online retailer thus far.

Toy Dojo has him in stock:
Transformers Combiner Wars Scattershot - Generations Voyager - Toy Dojo

But why buy for more than MSRP only to return it...

To be fair, they DID have a full case that morning. 2 Scattorshots, 2 Onslaughts. I confirmed it with the toy guy, for what it's worth. But They were down to 1 Scattorshot whhen I got there. Sorry.

Well, the weird thing is that while they normally do that on the retail side, even on my wholesale account they're listed like that. I still think its an error (I actually had to email them to bump my case from their listing of 1 case of 2 to two cases of 2, after I placed my order). I can't imagine Hasbro actually started making 2 figure voyager cases.

Urgh. I was hoping we'd see at least a look at the Takara Bruticus before these hit the stores. I guess Hasbro knows better than that.

Even so, I think I'll hold out for the Tak on the hope of getting a real Blast-Off.

I find it's pretty common that wholesalers don't know, or at least don't advertise, the real case size. Both EE and Japan Toys (a major rip-off if you're considering importing). Even BBTS would do weird breakdowns when they were running their distribution program.

I don't think you have to hope much. At this point it seems a given we're getting a shuttle Blast Off from Takara. The only question is, will we be satisfied with how his transformation and orientation as an arm end up being.

EE has never done wholesale breakdowns outside of standard Hasbro cases, nor did BBTS when they ran their program (which only lasted about a year).

If this turns out to be them splitting Hasbro cases in half it will be the first time they've ever done it as a wholesaler.

Not true. They break down Bandai Figuarts all the time. At one point they were even selling one of the Sailor Scouts in multiples of 5 despite shipping 24 to a case. And if we're going to go Hasbro specifically, my "solid cases" of Strongarm were unpacked/repacked Wave 1 RiD cases (my Grimlocks, surprise, never materialized - not sure what happened to anybody who ordered Bumblebee or Steeljaw). They blacked out the assortment description (wave 2) and UPC with a Sharpie versus the Arcees and Chromias that actually had "Arcee" and "Chromia" printed on the cases. Likewise, BBTS sold Takara MP cars in multiples of 2 or 4 (they're 6 to a case) but I never found them competitive enough on Hasbro products to order any and their old Excel catalog has long since vanished.

I'm telling you, if you order a "case" of 2 voyagers from EE, you're going to get 2 voyagers and some brown paper in a box. It might be a re-taped Hasbro shipping carton but it just as well might not.

And they've just delayed the Combaticons from November 2015 to January 2016. Of all the things I hate about EE, these phony release dates are arguably the worst. I have half a mind to run up five figures worth of preorders, report my cards stolen, and let it be a surprise for them to find out about six months down the line to see how they like being jerked around.

You could always get the Hasbro versions and not open them until you make a call.

Sorry, I specifically meant *hasbro* cases. I can't speak to Bandai or whoever else. I was unaware of the solid cases being goofed up like that, but seeing as how the solids are done in such a way that if the stores don't get enough pre-orders Hasbro doesn't make them, that makes sense. It looks like in this case they just shuffled around singles into "cases" and shipped them out. Everything I ordered in a solid case came printed that way from Hasbro though (mostly SWB figures).

I do agree that its probly not going to be a case of two from Hasbro though. I ordered 2 "cases of 2" so I'm guessing they'll just send me a case of 4. We shall see.
