They'll be blinded by the colors, but yeah, they can get into it, I guess.

...but...now I have to wonder...those colors aren't meant to attract younger female fans...are they? (I'm not saying girls like it, I'm just saying Hasbro may think that)

 

Damn it, I might be getting this girl. First impressions were that of disgust as how garish it was, then the pictures of normal light made me like it a bit, and now these pictures are pretty cool.

Definitely might just end up being a Nexus Prime if he was female, though. It's mostly the matching color schemes, since that is just how giant robots that were turned into separate components are in my book.

 

I really hope there's a redeco later.

 

The official pictures help a bit but man that color scheme is off putting. Really wish they just stuck with having each bot have unique colors that go well together in combined mode instead of just giving them all the same color scheme.

 

Well I will admit that these images aren't as "flashy" as the previous ones this morning and the overall appearance doesn't look half bad. The detail on the figures is very nice, kinda pretty; but still the retool/repainting of a fan choice set is the real killer. Victorion could've and should've been so much more than just a straight up reuse of overused molds. Oh well, I'm at fault for wanting her now... so whatever.

 

yeah... like, i wanna buy multiples of this to support more female transformers but making it a box set with literally two of the same toy, spare the heads, and then giving it horrible colors is just... ugh.

 

Agreed. The colors is the thing that's turning me off.

 

Galactus and Primus has an aborted baby and this was the result.

She's got one massively tall Head. I wonder if "The Leader" is her headmaster Partner.

 

If your gonna go all out on a female combiner, they should have all been new molds. Those just look like male autobots trying to portray female. The head sculpts are bad. I do like the Victorian combiner, but should have been completely new molds for more female looking individual bots. I like that they kept the color scheme the same though, something I would like to see in more combiners. I might buy it to keep in Victorian combiner mode. Its not a bad set, just underwhelming.

 

i am so getting 2 sets, one from hasbro to be displayed in combined mode and one from takara to be display in individual robot mode.

 

Vomitorion desperately needs more colors. This color scheme is atrocious.

since when do females in toy form whether from comic book toylines or giant transforming robots need to wear high heels? to me it's a sexist stereotype.

her feet are friggin gawdy. oh and look she has girly hands. huge blocky everything else but tiny girly hands and giant Pumps.

and to think of what could have been. we could have had a sleek gestalt with turbo handling. all the various limbs could have been awesome fembot toys released over the years.

Prime Arcee mold, Windblade mold, Generations arcee mold. legs could have been RiD Strongarm The body/torso could have been two fembots combined together from say, Override and a beast machines Strika looking character.

but instead we get...this. Hasbro's cost cutting genius isn't so genius after all.

So is it official that all of 2016 is repaints and remolds? Are we going to get every character from G1 out of the same dozen molds soon? The paint job isnt doing this one any favors either. I really want to support their efforts on combiners but they arent making it easy.

 

I'm still in for Victorion, she's gonna stand out on my shelf that's for sure.
Also, I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but I saw on Twitter that the team are called the Torchbearers.

Dust-up = a fight or argument.

 

So this will be the first and last fan built toy.

Hasbro won't make another after this sells so poorly due to the wakeful colour scheme...
