You got a dud ratchet. Mine never had that issue but I'm aware of the issue.

Sometime it's also just not aligned properly.

    Here:

If not Do the eraser trick mod. As specified above.

Yeah I figured that one or more was a dud. I just don't know if I love it enough yet to go that far, because it's going to be a lot of work disassembling, reassembling, gerrymandering solutions (swapping the thighs pissed me off enough when one exploded in my face :lol  ). I'm probably going to sit on it for a few days and see where I stand. But in the meantime, thanks for all your help.

G1 Shoulder setup? Does your cleverness know no bounds? Are you talking about unfolding the panels behind Menasor's head?

Motormaster is a crapshoot with QC, but if you give these guys some TLC you can pull off the goofiest stuff

    Hahahaha. Thanks.

I mean the car shoulders. I know why peeps like to have them the car hoods down. I keep it up then when I want to articulate it I just adjust it back then put it back up. G1 baby!

My setup thanks to my personal heros Matt Brooker and Seali me. Not sure who gets the credit for the shoulder mode though.

Okay, so I just wanted to mention that the ERASER TRICK DOES NOT WORK on Motor Master.

The problem is that the springs are too hard and when you tighten up the screws, the screws just put force on the eraser and the eraser gets mushed in and doesn't support it.

The springs are just too strong, and not long enough in my opinion.

You would be better off using a washer piece which doesn't give as much as an eraser does. I would do it, but I already took the bastard apart 4 times. Now I am just going to let it be.

The damn springs just suck ass.

Got my Motormaster and Friends today, really disappointed in the hip joints. Everything is so loose and floppy that anything but the official configuration with the leg plates hooked into the thighs just falls apart. Which is disappointing because that configuration looks like arse. With enough time I got him into an ok but stiff advancing forward fighting pose, but compared to the way Superion could be posed its hugely disappointing. It's a shame because the individual Stunticons look fantastic.

I haven't even combined my Stunticons yet as I'm waiting for the Perfect Effect hands/feet before doing so.

Can someone post pictures of their Menasor from the side and back showing this leg configuration? When I try to make the legs look like this, he either has his legs fully extended and he looks like he's on stilts. Or, I bend the knee 90 degrees so it's like Motormaster is doing a sit. It looks fine from the front, but from any other angle it looks like digitrade chicken legs.

I'm not 100% sure I follow. So, you put a pencil eraser (or at least a small shaving of one) between the thin plastic piece attached to the spring, and the toothy gear of the leg?

EDIT: Guess it was, since i tried it and it worked.

I want to love this guy but he's such a floppy mess. Strange as Superion is pretty solid.

I got Motormaster today, and while he's flawlesss, Menasor is another story. So I took apart the thighs, tightened the joints, and sorta-kinda did Seali's method except I turned the waist around and just bent the legs, not utilizing the pegs or mystery holes. The result is an excellent looking Menasor that can stand and pose just fine. The trick was finding the right tighteness so it doesn't impede Motormaster's ability to pose easily. I feel like he should've had tighter thighs and some method of locking the knees in a 90 degree bend, then this could've been the official transformation.

He's freaking huge, too. Superion was big, but Menasor is even bigger.

Wondering how do you tighten Menasor's joints? For when I get him in hand I know what to do.

Floor polish/super glue. That way you can slowly add itor sand it away to adjust tightness.
