I liked Megasteel Granville aka Megatron, the price was really cheap and i liked the look, too bad mine broke after a couple of transformations.
That said I then decided to use some parts of it on my Combiner Wars Cyclonus to obtain a kinda G2 Megatron I guess?
I like the idea of a Megatron figure that transforms into a Galvatron when it combines, here it is:

I didn't do much just popped the head on with some multi-purpose glue to fill the empty space and glued the two cannons togheter after cutting the CW one where the thicker part starts, the front part from Granville has a hole of the exact same shape I just removed a little bit of platic inside to make it go in all the way.

Yeah that too. Man Megatron really screwed over in those two gimmick departments didn't he?

 

The biggest blindspot in Prime Wars was Megatron never getting a torso *or* Evolution figure while Prime got both.

 

I'm still surprised we didn't get an Evolution figure that turns from Megatron to Galvatron. Seemed like such an obvious thing to do, especially to counter Rodimus.

On topic, this figure looks nice, can't wait to see your further progress!  

 

I actually did something really similar when I first tried making a combining Megatron. I think your head choice looks like it works better in general.


Eventually completely scrapped the idea and used an Onslaught instead.

Very nice! I think it's just the size that fits better, you should try something bigger like a classics megatron or a hegemon head, they actually sell a set of 2 expressions of that one, i wanted to buy one for my tank megatron but in the end i used a renderform head instead that is even bigger:

Hey i just updated the first post, in the end i only painted the rest of the gun, i guess while waiting for the paints to arrive i got used to the look, i like the colour balance as is.
Also i forgot to mention i added a 5mm peg on the back of the cannon for extra functionality.

 

I love this! I think a better version would be the Scattershot body with the wings replaced by treads and the jet nose gun removed and turned into a tank turret kind of thing (like the CW Leader figure where the main turrent body stays on his back or whatever but the actual barrel becomes his arm cannon) with the Galvatron head and chest pieces put on him. Man, I need a Cyclonus KO....
