Do we really need a new thread for every item released in every country?

Who decides which countries are "relevant" and which ones aren't?

Hooooowever, Sovietbot, you already reported Rodimus one year ago:
Combiner Wars Devastator and Sunstreaker in Russia.

I just think the news part of the forum shouldn't be cluttered with every first sighting of every figure in every country. Why don't we do it for every state in the US while we're at it? That's what we have the sightings forum for, isn't it? But I don't make the rules, so it's irrelevant.

I think it's great that more people report sightings from their countries and those often tend to get frontpaged as well. Gives the impression that we non-Americans actually matter somewhat. Instead of this being about the US and the US only all the time. Even though TFW2005 is still mainly a US-centric community, we have members from all parts of the world here, and we don't need to get alienated even more than we already are.

    Here, here.

Sovietbot, what was on the shelf with it? We've had a very strange assortment including Rodimus show up in discount stores in the UK recently.

I agree with Payres and Nevermore. The Transformers fandom is bigger than the US, and I personally know of several overseas fans who get benefit from our sharing of news posts for their countries. While the fandom is always going to be US-centric, that is no reason to ignore the rest of the world - whose fans might well feel the same way about the amount of US or Canadian sightings getting play.

However, as this one has been sighted already, there's no need for this thread to remain open.
