It really sounds like the true culprit is Motormaster though. The pegs that Blackjack plugs into are poorly designed..they're stupidly tapered and they're too big at the rear end for Blackjack to plug into.

 

He looks bad as Menasor's Chest so I passed on him. I'm getting Perfect effects Menasor Upgrades. Looks much better.

 

Wait.. What solution are people using to stick him to the chest? I don't have Motormaster yet, but he just falls off of Optimus.

 

The solution is clearly to lose cycles upon cycles of sleep over the fact that Entertainment Earth is sold out of something we were just gonna buy from somewhere else anyway. Not sure how else to approach this, really.

My Blackjack has yet to fall off my Menasor. I don't move him around much though. Probably won't touch him again until my PE hands and feet arrive in the mail.

I put a little clear nail polish on the inside of the sockets. A little bit keeps him on there good and snug.

 

I'd like to see it come from Hasbro, so hopefully someone with ties can find out straight from them.

But it makes sense since we're seeing Motormaster coming back in Wave 4 w/out Blackjack. They must assume people will either leave him out of Menasor or will use Rodimus.

Oh! I had only seen the Warpath/Groove/Skywarp/Rodimus listing. Didn't realize Blackjack was in the next one.

 

Trying to incorporate these legends class figures into Guns and Chest pieces has been a huge fail so far.

Making Groove into a sports bra and adding another figure no one asked for to replace Defensor's foot is just more proof of Hasbro's greedy side.

 

How is it greedy to create a series of figures who's inclusion in a combiner is completely optional and impacts it's ability to combine exactly nowhere?

 

Optional? There's only 4 Deluxe Protectobots in the US so far. I don't really see any alternative to Rook other than fan-moding or getting the Takara set.

Have you tried attaching a Legends class figure to the combiners as a leg by itself? It's quite difficult ;P

 

Oh! You're talking about Geewun. Well carry on. But you're missing out on a great update to Scramble City.

 

Because Rook is a made up nobody that most fans don't and won't care about since their primary concern is getting an updated Defensor.

Alternatively you could also cute done the sides of the peg since they stop Blackjack from sitting down further. Someone did that can't remember if I saw it in Peaugh's review or someone here did it.
