Any chance the name caused Hasbro to give it a second thought, because it could be construed as promoting gambling?

Actually, the name would make a lot of sense. I wouldn't be surprised if they rereleased him with a generic name like Roller Drone.

I doubt it. Someone would've had to complain about it first, and Hasbro would've fallen back on the weapon meaning of the name before throwing their potential sales away. And if that didn't work, the oversensitive complainer would be pitching a fit to the clickbait media and we'd have heard about it by now.

 

Oh good I thought this was going to be another he told me scenarios. Not going to start panicking until a year from now and no more signs of Blackjack. Waspinator, Cosmos, and Swerve already gave me enough worry don't need to needlessly worry over a toy.

 

Blackjack's wave is just now hitting U.S. retail (mainly Toys R Us so far), and I believe he is 3x per case (Huffer is also 3x per case, and Powerglide is 2x per case) so there should be a fair amount of him available via local retail or via resellers/traders soon. Plus he might be put into the next wave, like Powerglide was carried over into this wave since both of these figures are part of "teams" currently on the store shelves.

That's from Entertainment Earth not Hasbro I think someone needs to change the thread title, to something like my brothers friend cousin got an email from EE that says this.

It doesn't once say this is direct from Hasbro.

All that is saying is that EE doesn't have enough Blackjacks in stock now at there business and are taking it out of your order because they aren't sure when they will get more or if they are.

Reading and comprehension are the keys to understanding things you have to read.

 

I think that wave is a bit of a misjudgement by Hasbro. Should be 3 Viper and 2 Warpath. Viper is an obvious army builder and will have the Joe fans wanting one too.

 

especially since we already have a perfect Warpath (generations deluxe)

Also just FYI, Blackjack is still on HTS. They haven't removed his page, like they have with older/discontinued stock

But he's also a repaint of a figure that will likely be fairly prominant with Powerglide being in two assortments already. Hasbro's probably trying to avoid pegs of red and blue A-10s.

Who hasn't shipped to retail in four years. That's the same line of reasoning as why we got Windcharger: his last toy has been gone from retail so long that he's a "new" character to recent fans and parents and kids.


Again, this line IS designed to appeal to wider range of buyers than just the long time collectors.
