I think this information on rooks head piece being specifically designed to resemble the chess piece was pulled from an interview with Jerry Jivoin, the Sr Marketing Director for Transformers at NY toyfair.

TFW reported on a printed interview from Ben's World of Transformers, but I think specific confirmation from this came from the audio frointerview camp from the NY Toy fair episode of the Seibertron Twincast Podcast. The interview begins around the 01:06:00 mark.

Its an interesting interview because it sheds light on some of the business practices for Hasbro on Transformers, and it confirms that they read and listen to the the online boards (the specific instance that he mentions is the Cosmos/Serve wave of legends figures) and that often times the difficulty in finding the last waves of a product line, as well as fan feedback on the FOC Onslaught being just a deluxe and voyager, and how that feed back influenced them going forward with Combiner Wars Voyagers.

That leg set up definitely looks the best, I tried it on mine but went back to the way I had it.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the site that was doing the new ears for Superion, and the Blackjack chest plate adapter?

Was it nonef or something like that?

The only way I can deal with CW Menasor is with the legs as done above and the closed, Blackjack-free chest.

Then he's not so bad.

 

I dunno, I thought my Menasor looked pretty crap. Maybe I should look into some of this "mistransformations" to get it to look better.....

 

Here's my review of the final Protectobot with Hot Spot, and the combined Defensor. Definitely an improvement over Menasor, and looks great with Superion. Hope you can check out the review

Menasor and Optimus Definitely look much better mistransformed, although not being able to bend the legs back at the knee is the only drawback to that.

I'm also surpised that there isn't a huge abundance of CW accessories on Shapeways. There's a good amount, but with how mod-friendly this line is, I'd expect it to be all over the place on there.

 

The superior combiner is finally complete, got the Master today!



On an unrelated note, my Superion w/ Powerglide is now a Yellow RiD Optimus. The only way I could find to make that figure enjoyable.

 

Are there any cool weapons for the Stunticons in vehicle mode, like the G1 toys, where you could put the cannons on the feet peg holes? I want some cool weaponized cars  

 

All but Dead End so far. OffRoad's unfortunately just looks like a truck cap.

 

Do you have pictures? I'd love to see this. I have the yellow RiD Optimus on one of my shelves, it's definitely one of my favorite figures.
