Actually I know ways to get Ghost screamers.
True but isn’t there 3 different starscream limbs?
Iirc there’s ghost, Golden, and SG. The fact that we never got a fourth bothers me. The fourth could have been armada.
So I decided to stay up after work last night installing the SND kit on BC Prime. Took me two hours and only gave me three ulcers but I got it done (fuck those pins). And I gotta say....
I'm not on fire for this like I thought I would be. Gettinf him to even stay in that position was a nightmare. And I'm honestly not a fan of that combiner head. It's just a hair too large and it sticks out too far forward. I didn't really care for the other wing configuration either. But I do still love that weapon.
So combined mode for me was a bust. But the regular robot mode.......
Oh. My. God. What a fucking beauty. I'm still enamored by how menacing and imposing he looks. I just love it so much. And I love the wing articulation. I'm actually having trouble deciding how to display them. There are just too many good options.
Oh, and because I've decided not to make him a combiner, it left me with four extra limbs. Which means.....
Sky Lynx gets to retain his combiner status!! Yay! It's a win-win!
I didn't get a picture of this until I got home but I found a way to use Thundercracker as a chest minion for Sky Lynx.
Pleas share directions.
I'll take pictures with detailed instructions when I get home but for now I'll a brief outline.
First I bought this from Shapeways.
In it will be two 5mm-5mm peg adapters and a 5mm-5mm port adapter. Put the the peg adapters into each end of the port adapter.
Taking off TC's legs is optional but helps achieve a more flush fit. Removing Sky Lynx's tail fin is required.
Open up SL's abdomen. Rest the peg/port adapter pieces centered in the farthest back groove inside the abdomen flap. Wrap TC's arms around and peg the hands into the ends of the peg-port adapters, then close the flap and adjust the fit. It's a bit finnicky but once you get it situated it should stay there just fine.
I really like this concept of an all-SS gestalt. Fits the character's elitist tendencies. It kinda reminds me of Jet Li's character in "The One" - hey, we can access the multi-verse!!! How should we use this amazing new opportunity? I dunno about you, but I'm REALLY self-centered, so I'm about to re-define "suicide mission"...
What bothers me is that there is a well-established Seeker mold (incl. headsculpt) for combiner limbs and we never got ANY of the original 6 as limbs.
The mold mentioned here = TC and SW, and you will never convince me that the Coneheads wing design variations made them impossible.
PotP Dreadwind with new head = Dirge and Ramjet can be direct recolors as part of "combiner allowances".
PotP Blackwing w/ new head and wings (ball/socket joints make it work).
For the SND Nova Prime combined mode, I made sure to take a pic because I will likely never make him a torso again. My thought was, being a space eagle truck, he needed space-ier limbs...
Forgot about the TFSS exclusives.
Of course, Takara could have labeled Golden Lagoon Starscream as Thundercracker and Skywarp too.
Closest conehead we got was Armada Thrust (which we do own as part of the Grand Galvatron set).
Ah, and I forgot about that one! Dunno how since Ghost SS is from the same set
But you know what? I would accept straight repaints of him as Cone-biner limbs. Primus knows CW had its share of square pegs forced through round holes... lookin' at you, "Wheeljack"
Too bad the combo didn't woo you. I ditched the head since i think the regular head is big enough and looks more menacing. In my opinion the snd kits really need color coordinating limbs to look the best. But theyre defintely worth it individually.
Heh and yeah the pins just about gave me an aneurysm the first time.
I think I saw it used with four Rooks at one point and it looked great.
Honestly I think I'm happier with what I have now. The wings on Nova Prime look better on the core bot than the combiner anyway. And I like my Sky Reig .
A few oversized ko's along with mold buddies Trailbreaker and Off Road.
Ah. I thought it was just a fan mode. Still cool.

Remove Sky Lynx's tailfin.
The Shapeways link I posted earlier will give you these. Alternatively anything thing long enough that TC can grip would work as well.
Put them together like this.
I prefer to remove TC's legs because it helps him sit more flush but its optional.
Open SL's abdomen.
Rest the piece in here like so.
Lift the flap up a little and wrap TC around underneath it. The piece will have to bend slightly.
Close the flap and voila.
Cross your fingers. I just ordered 2 sets of hands/feet.
Where did you order them from?
