Previous Thread: Stunticons (1/3) and CW Deluxe Blackjack (2/3) I'll say this. CW Menasor might awful, but I did really love how Motormaster looks. I'm even glad TF-Devastation used that toy for their in-game model. So I wanted to bring out some details on him. And then I decided that two things were really messing from the CW Stunticons: 1. Motormaster needs a Trailer 2. Menasor needs a makeover. So let's go over what I did to Motormaster first: - Wasn't a fan of the black paintjob on his chest. I wanted something a bit messier rather than the smooth CW paintjob. Just didn't mesh with the "stunticon" image in my opinion to be so clean. So I redid it with a light airbrushing using both matte and gloss black paints to make it look dirty. - Flipped his combiner hip panels inside out and re-attached them via glue. Adds some nice detail to the legs, and it's not like I'm keeping the combiner mode anyways. - Knee Spikes were added due to the new combiner transformation. - Bulked up the sides of his legs mode with a new set of wheels from a DOTM Ultime Prime trailer, giving him a slightly longer/taller cab section to work better with the new trailer. - Cut off the combiner crotchplate from the backpack, helping both the combiner transformation and keeps Motormaster from having more of a backpack than he needed to. - Because of the trailer, I repainted a fair bit of Motormaster to match. I left the arms unchanged so that he could keep that G1-esque "Jumpsuit" color scheme like in TF-Devastation. And then here's the Trailer: - Since the trailer contains all the combiner parts, it's certainly not conventional and might sit more at home in a more Cybertronian theme. - Trailer can separate into two separate drones for Motormaster. - Massive cannon has a port to fit CW Motormaster's sword&gun for vehicle storage. - The cannon's has two ports to peg into Motormaster's cab, and a single straight vertical peg that goes into the trailer, this allows the trailer to turn(although only manually). Stunticons! Combine into Menasor! NOT THAT ONE! Now THAT's Menasorcing Some notes about the combination transformation: - Obviously he is MUCH taller and overall bulkier than originally. Easily towering over any other CW Combiner. - Blackjack's axe attaches as a chest crest much like with the legends Blackjack on the original CW Menasor. - There are no parts left aside. Even all the weapons store in a very comfortable spot on the combiner. - Menasor's arms are swapped around in the combined mode. This is entirely optional to do, but I find that it looks much better like this as it gives him bulkier shoulders. And I don't mind parts-forming on a combiner, since they're essentially parts-formers to begin with. About the Legs : - Finally, Menasor has actual hip joints. - The trailer top half forms the Combiner feet, which are able to bend in a backwards lean to add more posability without compromosing stability. - The backmost turrets of the feet can be used for additional stability, the foot is already structured so that they will not receive much pressure. - Because of the far more massive combiner mode, there are naturally weight concerns, right? So to mitigate this I swapped out Dragstrip&Breakdown with stronger springs in their combiner ports. As the pictures show, the stronger combiner ports allow bending the legs and hips without the figure falling over. EDIT: I meant to show this off before, but somehow never remembered to. The transformation is pretty straightforward, but I thought it best to show off anyways;
Thanks for the compliments, everyone. Something I forgot to mention that I really meant to is that; all the Stunticons share a "Fingerless Glove" design on their hands to go for a "Stunt Driver" look.
Very interesting take on a so-so torso mode, made it a lot better. MM looks great too by himself as well. Nice job.
I don't know what's worse: - The embarassment of what you said being true. - The fact that my error is an accurate representation of my feelings for that game. - OR the fact that it's pointed out by someone named "Error". I've corrected the typo. Thank you for the good hard laugh.
