Personally, I would prefer if companies would put some size-variation within their combiner lines, and I see no logical in-universe explanation as to why they should all stand the same height. Different combiners having different physical strengths and weaknesses is more interesting to my mind and eye. So, operating under the assumption that one might want some size differences between combiners in a range, what would you maybe prefer to see? Of course, it is valid to prefer all the combiners to be the same height, but I wonder how interesting a post could be in paraphrasing, "all combiners the same because cartoon," or "all combiners the same because scale chart." If that is your preference, this may not be the thread for you. For my part, I don't have strong preferences, as I like to see artists/designers/engineers get creative with their figures. Some characters like Bruticus, Devastator, and Predaking might intuitively seem larger, and there may be some source-material to back that up. Conversely, others like Defensor might seem to still work being smaller. I personally look forward to a partsforming MP Devastator looming over MMC Defensor in my own collection. Anyway, what do you think could and could not work for you? What are your preferences? Would you like to see a little more creative license, say to preserve more focus on individual robot modes of a certain size? Here's a format that came to my mind and with arbitrary character names inserted as an example: Predaking > Devastator = Superion > Bruticus ~ (+/- 10%) Raiden 5-20% > Computron > Menasor (because the Stunticons should be smol) Etc.
I tend to be influenced by the G1 toys. Thus, Predaking is huge, Piranacon is the most massive of the scramble city ones, and Menasor is the smallest of those.
