Transformers collectors and online community contributors don’t come much more recognisable and respected than Benjamin Dolle AKA Peaugh. His video reviews have been a staple of the online fandom for some years now, his considerable body of work covering everything from vintage G1 to modern day 3rd party and mainline Transformers releases. Ben’s interests are not limited to Transformers, and for someone with such a high profile and held in such high regard by so many, his accessibility and continued enthusiasm for the hobby are a real asset and example to Transformers fans everywhere. Nice interview, and a good read. This is the first collector interview that spotlights someone from outside the UK, right?
Whaaaaaaaaat?! Not at all! I've featured Chinese, Polish, Mexican, Peruvian, Spanish, Italian, US, Canadian, Dutch, Filipino, Danish and UK collectors since 2011. All the best Maz
Oh is that right? Sorry, I don't know why, but I always assumed the collector interviews were UK only.
I really enjoyed the interview and the passion and humility displayed by the interiewee. It makes me wonder why (admittedly to just my ears) he sounds so jaded during his reviews. Forced dispassionate nature? Or just naturally a bit taciturn? It will certainly add a layer to the next video review!
I haven't watched many of his reviews recently since he's focused on third party but I use to enjoy his videos.
Good stuff, nice interview of someone that does a lot for the community with all his reviews. He seems like a good dude too. It's interesting that one can find some general themes and trends echoed through the interviews of many of the collectors who have been in the game for quite awhile: have fun, stick to a budget, don't compete with others, etc. It feels like it has been a little while since the last interview but this one was very good.
I've enjoyed Peaugh's reviews for the last few years. I look forward to reading the interview. And I have that shirt!
Always great to read these and learn more about the fellow collectors we see online, helps make them more than screen names. That's quite an eclectic collection Peaugh has, though mine was very similar in the early 2000's (TFs, GIJoe, Star Wars, Muppets, Simpsons, WWE, SportsPicks, Marvel Legends, and more...) I've sold off most of the non-TF stuff due to lack of funds and space. I'm keeping my MASK stuff, though...
He's done an awful lot of Titans Return reviews recently you may wish to look at, if you're interested in official content. All the best Maz
It's so weird. This is the first time I've seen Peaugh's face and... it's not what I expected. I think I just expected a pair of hands in lieu of a head, for some reason.
