Ok, does anybody play with their figures still, or do you just pose them or keep them MISB? In my case, I still play with action figures, even though I'm 30 years old. I've mixed and matched toylines for one cohesive universe (TF's have all the Autobots and Maximals working together against the Decepticons/ Vehicons/ Predacons while my Marvel Legends coexist with DC Universe, MOTU, Street Fighter and Wrestlers) geeky, I know but I can't help it.
I play with my little cousins and my two nephews. Sometimes my fiance gets bored and starts attacking me with her TF's, and I gotta defend the fort, but I usually pose them and collect them.
I usually pose them. I transform occasionally when i'm bored. Don't think i've had a good play in a very long time.
I have no MIB or MISB figues. 90% are out on display, with figures getting a good ammount of play every couple of weeks or so. For instance, the figures being used this morning are my Spyshot, Zoomout and Speed-dial in thier truck.
I never EVER keep anything in the box , in fact if I buy a toy, and I knows it has any articulation at all, even if it's limited it's coming out of the box. I'm in this hobby because I enjoy toys, not because I want to make a mint on them somewhere down the road. to answer your questions though, I don't really "play" with them per say, I change how I display them every now and then, or fiddle with them when I get bored but that's about it.
i'm a poser as well and i release my TFs, Marvel Legends, DCUC, etc once I get them (as long as I have space to pose them though). What's the fun of collecting them when you just keep them in their cages?
i don't play with toys anymore, i only pose them and take photos. sometimes i just sit there and admire them... i quite like the idea of webcomics!
I recently cleared out a large section of my collection, I sold off 98 percent of my McFarlane/odds and ends figures, i boxed and stored my Gundams. All that i have out to display now are my TFs, B:TAS and my G.I. Joe stuff. i pose them, and leave em be mostly. i kept a few things for webcomics. Like using the Bob and Doug Mckenzie figures for a talk show themed comic. I haven't had time lately, but wanna keep doing em.
Me three, photocomics are a more 'mature' way to play with your toys in a sense, except after you take the shots you can us photo editing programs like photoshop to really make them fire lasers at each other like idiots
