Is it a little too coincident When Sam's girlfriend's boss is working with the Decepticons?
Eeehm did you watch the movie??
it's crearly stated that the very reason Carly works for Dylan is because he wanted to get to Sam.
But it seem to be that Carly works for Dylan b4 She know Sam, that's what i'm trying to say
No actually in the flashback when they first meet she's working in the White House or the British Embassy or something like that.
It's also a little thing called 'plot'. If the characters had nothing in common and didn't connect in any way, then it wouldn't have made sense for them to come together. This can work in a series, but not a 2-hour movie.
This. Dylan even says that he "stole her away from the British Embassy" to come work for him to manage his collection, which is presumably after sometime that Carly and Sam kept in touch and started seeing eachother more. He needed a way to get close to Sam, and this was his ticket. Its no coincidental, its all part of the plan.
Oh Ok that make sense
Have you ever read Great Expectations? It's considered a classic book and it has several coincidences such as the fact that everyone the main character meets is related to his convict friend in some way. Also, the villain coincidently catches on fire at the end. Even though I hated this book, it shows that even classics aren't exempt from plot coincidences.
Yaujta speaks truthfully, logically and awesomely. Continue.
Yes it is a cowinkydink. The plot called for it and the writers answered for it.
Pretty much this. If the OP's post is a strange "coincidence", then pretty much anything and everything that happens in movies are "coincidences".
Was I the only one who read this in Joker's voice?
Yeah, it's pretty blatantly stated Dyan hired Carly to get to Sam.
Pretty funny how people complain about plot holes because the writer/director "didn't care" and yet they clearly show they didn't give a damn themselves to pay attention to what was clearly said. Do they seriously have to hold a big neon sign up saying "THIS IS WHAT'S HAPPENING" for people to listen?
Clearly understanding the subject is no longer mandatory for discussion.
Welcome to the movie forum!
No. There were at least two.
Is that a shot at us who you quoted? (If it's not, please don't read any animosity in my comment. I'm just too used to passive aggressive comments in this forum). Because I agree with you. Enough was both stated and implied of Dylan/Carly/Sam's relationship and interactions and what it meant. If people aren't blatantly told about something, they "don't get it". If they are blatantly told, they get all defensive about being "spoon-fed information".
It wasn't, I havea real problem seperating quote replies and general statements in my post. It's just to anyone who doesn't pay attention to the movies then claims plothole where there is none. I just quoted you because you responded to Autovolt.
Ah, I see. Yeah, sorry, thought you were aiming your disdain at me/us for some reason.
You just can't win these days. Give too little info, people bitch, give too much, people bitch.
Agreed. And that's the Transformers fandom in general, be it movieverse or not, be it information or designs or what-have-you. Do X, and people hate it. Do Y, and people hate it.
In fact, there was an 'inspirational' image in the Inspirational Transformers Pics thread that summed that subject up nicely. A picture of Que with the following text: "Fans refuse to accept him as Wheeljack. ... Upset when his name is changed to 'Que'." or something like that.
Separate names with a comma.
