This may mean nothing, but I just opened up My TR Hot Rod and glanced through his tech specs card. What I found was interesting. Disregarding Firedrive's "booster specs," Hot Rod has the following: strength: 10 speed: 9 Intelligence: 10 firepower: 10 Those are some pretty high specs, not things I would associate with Hot Rod. Speed a nine sure, but strength, intelligence, firepower, all 10s? Then it hit me: Those are leader specs. Such across the board high end specs are what Megatrons and Optimus Primes usually get. In the old days those characters would get solid 10s across the board. Now they are dialed back a bit, but usually majority 10 with one or two other high stat but not quite 10s. Just like this Hot Rod. So obviously Hasbro is specing him like a leader character. Makes sense because of the "Rodimus Prime" tradition. But what if it's more than just an homage, but they actually did this with an eye towards continuity with a new Rodimus Prime figure? And if the third line is really a "Power of the Primes" line, that might be a great place to finally pull the trigger on a new Rodimus Prime for Chug. What do you think?
I know this, and that's missing the point. the above 10 specs are for the "booster" powers of the titan master. I think the "base" robot never goes above 10, though I could be wrong.
This echoes the original Hot Rod G1 specs where his numbers were inflated to take account of what would happen in the Movie, and the Targetmaster release actually had the numbers dialled back - including firepower which always seemed very odd to me. What was the point of ending up with a target master if that reduced your impact? So yes, it may foreshadow something down the line.
I hope they release an add on trailer later like the mp9 one. They can call it power master hot rod lmao
I'm skeptical of tech specs being a clue to a future release. Plus I just can't imagine getting three different Rodimus figures in three years. Although we've gotten three Optimus Primes in three years, whIch wouldn't be so weird if he hadn't only gotten one voyager toy since 2006.
The bigger hint for TR Rodimus is that every mold gets two uses and Rodimus Prime im car mode would look *pretty close* to Springer.
Other than speed Soundwave w/ Soundblaster is 9 or over, Alone Sentinel Prime is all 10 Infinitus pushes all his stats to 12 or 13, Power Master Optimus Prime w/ Apex is hitting 12 or 15, Mindwipe w/ Vorath is at 9 or better for all stats, and the same is true for Hardhead w/ Furos, Galvatron w/ Nucleon is at 14 or better on everything, Fort Max w/ Cerebros has 15 as their lowest stat, and adding Emissary maxes them out to all 20, It's a similar story with Astrotrain, Chromedome, and Blaster. If you want to talk about crazy high stats in this like it's all about Alpha Trion and Sovereign who both have unlimited power. Being at or over ten is not that special in Titans Return.
He nust has high stats becauses hes the dude thag would become the future leader of the Autobots, if Orion Pax were in the same position what do you think his stats would be?
I don't know if it's foreshadowing as much as acknowledging something we've all known since 1986? That said, I would absolutely love a decent sized Rodimus Prime toy.
On the "Clues to a new Rodimus Prime" front, I think we just got a big one! From the "Power of the Primes" press release... Hey, look at that, Hasbro just name dropped Rodimus Prime in relation to "Power of the Primes." A character they haven't shown much love to in a very long time. Why would they do that...?
I'm wont be surprised if PotP has Rodimus Prime in it, Just like I wound be surprised to see Nova, Nexus, Solus or Vector. It is called Power of the Primes. I just don't think stats that are on par with most of the other toys are a hint to that.
