The latest issue of the club magazine indicates the Seacons and Nightbeat will both be pushed back to June / July. Damn!

Yes, but it also states that preorders for them should hit by the time that most people begin recieving their magazines. Which means the first week of April as that's when most people get their magazines regularly.

"Canceled" bad sign, or "Bend over and take it" bad sign?

No reason to believe they won't be released, certainly not from just this push back.

I came up with the math that it'll be a $190-ish set, based on what they've charged for past exclusives like Airrazor, Astrotrain, etc.

I got an original Seacon set for $120 ... so that would be kind of silly for them to release the "meh" colored repaints for close to double the price of what an opened, loose set goes for now.

From what the mock-up colours they showed at botcon '07. The now club Seacon colours are better than the originals.

The latter. Prices on club exclusives are designed to make you want to sign-up for a membership after all.

I seem to recall you started a thread a while back asking us (hypothetically) if the club released the Seacons as an exclusive (this was way before there was ANY word that they were going to) how much we'd be willing to pay for the set. Hmmmm....

    $136

I originally thought it would be close to $200 as well, but after 6 months of thought this is my final guess.

But the Seacons aren't remolded at all. I doubt we'll be over $150 tops.

For me this set would have to be under $100 to be worth picking up otherwise I would just spring for an original G1 set which look better anyway.
