Probably the order limit of 20. Im bettin they only even put that disclaimer up to "ease ppls minds".. I dont see them caring if 20 ppl order or 1 person orders 20. Less work for them even, the more ppl ordering quantity

Both just bought, can't wait to get my exclusives. I don't see why people are complaining about the prices, these are targeted at collectors and not children. Your TFCC exclusives cost less then Japanese exclusives and these come in way better packaging. Most Japanese exclusives comes in slightly different original packaging while these come in nice foam collector boxes. Just do it you know you want to, you all need that plastic crack =P

They should have transformers toys on "how it's made", I'd like to see that...

edit: i'm sure it cost more to remanufacture say 1,000 than 10,000 and then ship it from overseas and boxart and expect to make as much of a profit. Then put in the fact that there are some people that will actually pay $100's of dollars on toys.

A 5 pound box measuring 12x12x12 and weighing 5 lbs (estimate...those FP boxes are large and heavy :p ) sent from TX to FL via Priority Mail is $14.95, according to usps.com. Anyone stating the shipping should be $6 has not shipped anything in the last 10 years. Prices have gone way up. FP domestic shipping is reasonable (not even opening the 'international shipping' can of worms.

How much were you guys expecting these to be? First of all, I'm certain there's quite an amount of money involved in producing brand new toys. Note that beyond the initial magazine subscription and Botcon, the TFCC has little other source of revenue. It's a company. It needs to make money. Just as much as anyone else does.

Decided I only "needed" one of each. Would have liked to have picked up one or two more Sideburns with my order, really hope the extras of that don't go live later today.

    Well, mine are preordered.

And people complaining about shipping: It's minimum 30 bucks to ship to Canada for the two figures.

I will agree though that these shipping costs are sorta insane, but I'm sure there's business reasons. After all, they're shipping from the southmost part of the US, for one, and for two, they may not get any sort of discounted shipping rate given they only do this a few times a year in quantities.

And going off what 03Mach1 said, if those are the official prices, they're the official prices. No getting around that. Again, I doubt the TFCC gets a volume discount on account of how small their shipping business typically is. And doubling the shipping to ship to Canada is pretty much par for the course - 30 to ship up here sounds expensive (and is) but isn't all that uncommon.

I'm having flashbacks to Botcon registration. The website isn't loading.

    I don't want to miss out! :(

Based on the tweet TCC sent to you, I was hoping Ramjet would be $45-50 and Cheetor $50-55, but it's not a difference worth splitting hairs over.

I just spend £75 (shipped) on 3 limited editon United toys and they want £35 (minus shipping) for 1 deluxe. I love the idea and I'm cool with the logic behind their pricing but wow...

maybe as $40 I'd be game but yeah.... I just cant justify this guy (but who knows I might win the lotto one day and I'd but myself down for 2)

WHat did I assume? Did they design these figures or produce the moulds for them? NO Hasbro did that long ago (minues one head and one rubber nosecone) I presumed nothing. I would love to know what their profit margin is on these figures.

SOmeoen mentioned supply and demand. I get that and agree with it but lets talk about customer loyalty. These guys are simply ass raping a bunch of plastic crack addicted fan boys (I'm one so that term was not meant to insult). These guys are just taking advantage of a situation and that is nothing more than greed.

This is why I support 3rd party companies. Sure they charge a lot too but what's the other official option. TFCC? They charge more for simple repaints.
