They say it looks the most like the monster, not that that's actually what it looks like. It could look a lot more different/cooler.

....okay not too gross mutated and my like has not slowed down.....I guess I can survive being exposed to a few human mutilation scenes(...if there are any) for the sake of a monster.

now I need someone that enjoys the monster genera as much as I do. I wonder if I can coax not only myself but my friends and gf.....

From what I heard, the ONLY resemblances are the tiny arms/legs and the big arms it walks on, that's it. For the rest it's a lot more crab/whale/ape like, about 45 stories tall (and even longer then that), moving oddly and just generally fudging creepy.

Oh, and the new Trek teaser trailer is in front of the movie   I just about freaked about that one.

Movie was good, too... well done.

yeah i agree on the looks part cos i saw it too tonight. none got the head even remotely close.
but no way would i say the movie was good. it was okay and i am glad i watched it. but i dont really get the parasite bites or the fact that there was no music on the end credits. i call it an average movie. it felt like watching ordinary people deal with a godzilla situation.

trek trailer was awesome and now looking forward to it.

 

i heard that that was pretty much the point, it's not a monster movie, it's a human movie with a monster in it. there's a lot of chatter on the net cuz people didn't realize it and they were expecting another Godzilla movie.

I didn't go in with expectations other than giant monster rampaging through NYC and friends dealing with something beyond their comprehension. Even so, I loved it. Completely disagree with Harb on this one.

 

well i liked the monster designs. and some of it was okay just that alot of the parts seemed to drag on.

 

From what I've heard, the people that are disappointed were expecting the wrong thing.

 

I like it, and most of the people inside applaused after the end credit.
