I'm embarrassed that it took me 5 seconds to figure out his backpack flap, I had no idea that it was actually becoming a thing with folks.

This is why I divide people into two groups.

I love it! Issue #5 was my first exposure to Transformers fiction even though I had 1/2 dozen of them by then. I remember my heart sinking and I knew had to buy it to find out if they were really dead, and who the hell is this purple bastard? I need to get to work making a diorama display of this cover for Quakeblast, although I'm sure eventually a Toy accurate Hasbro Shockwave will occupy it from time to time.

I want to do this.. just trying to find the right bulbs with the colors I want. Is the cannon held together with glue and you have to separate it?

Also, the solder connections are so tiny. What's the maximum watts tip to use with the soldering iron?

 

I'm convinced Quakeblast looks better when you guys take pictures with his shoulders below his head. I was wrong about him towering over Apollyon, I think that only happens when you guys lift the shoulders up.

 

He is barely any taller than QuakeWAVE and almost exactly the same height as Apollyon. Looks great with him...

 

So just out of curiosity- does every Quakeblast have that air bubble in the gun barrel? So far it seems like every photo I've seen has one.

Its certainly not a huge issue for me as I'm counting the days until mine arrives- but I'd love to see one without the air bubble!

 

Seems like it's the norm, but it's not that big of a deal. It sucks aesthetically sure, but I don't think it's detrimental to the figure.

On the topic of LED changes, I'll be getting a set from paul5409, and will post some more pics once I have them installed.

 

I wish they'd included extra clear hands with the first run. Oh well

I think paul5409 is definitely putting something together- LED options plus a smooth hose replacement!

I already got a replacement flat eye LED and a set of pink (yes, pink) LEDs that I used for the chest and cannon on mine. LOVE how it looks now compared to the ugly yellow LEDs he came with!

 

Just in case anyone else was confused about the TFDirect listing for Quakeblast he is is stock and ready to ship. I emailed them due to the listing kind of looking like a pre-order and they confirmed it's in stock. They did say to expect a delay due to CNY but I'm happy I have one on the way.

 

Mine has it, but I didn't notice it until someone pointed it out, then I checked mine.

 

Definitely enhanced nicely on an already impressive design version of shock wave. I want mine to have his chest setup similarly.

 

That looks fantastic! I might have to swap my LEDs as well.

 

Pink LEDs look good, nice choice.

Aww crap- I was worried that the LEDs would be the wrong color. Oh well I have 2 electrician friends that owe me favors.

 

Just paint the led to the colour you want, no need for messing about, simple fix
