I've noticed on my Hulk that weirdly, he looks better if you jack up his torso an extra inch. You'd think that would just make his legs look tinier, but stretching out his waist area helps balance his tremendous shoulder width and make him look less squashed.

I'm thinking that with some fold-down panels or something to fill that gap it could work. At the moment there's just that big hinge, so there's no way to support his upper torso without putting something in there.

Just an idea... I find with slightly less cartoonish proportions, the mold suggests other characters it could be (thought there's no way around the fact that his arms are still HUGE.

Maybe an interpretation of IDW's Cybertron mode Fortress Maximus? He's big, but not city-sized.

interesting, I wil have to look around in my junk box and find a new head. something fairly large but that could still fold in.

 

think I found a head I like. Guess I cant call it hulk gets hammered anymore. Any name suggestions? Almost looks like a one bot mode downsized devastator.

 

You know it sounds weird, but this could be great as Impactor, but you have to repaint it all, but his arms are not that big.

 

If you modded that head a bit, I could see it as a beefed-up Hardhead or even Brawl. Whatever you come up with should be pretty sweet.

 

Thats what he reminded me of, Hardhead on 'roids.

I'm not familiar with the toy, but could you maybe mount a smaller gun on the shoulder in such a way that it'd be pointing forward when in tank mode? I know there's more tankbots out there, but none are coming to mind, haha.

 

Its possible, but I will need to think on it. I do have a box of zoids guns to play with.

 

ok I decided to go with hardhead. The similarities in the head I found and the tread arms are enough for me. in the comic he even had silver legs. But in order to he hardhead he needed teh somewhat trademark shoulder cannon and multiple guns. So I dug out some Gun Shell Doll parts and made him a machine gun. It mounts to a magnet in both modes, one behind his head and the same ones in his arm that the turret cannon mounts to. I put up two versions of the gun, one with more kibble one with less. now that I have decided on a character can anyone sugest some specific paint apps?

So there you have him. GI JOE Crossover Hardhead into the Mobat tank. (since teh turret came from a Mobat anyway)

 

Ooh, very nice. I'd suggest painting the treads either gray or black if you could, maybe painting the head to match Hardhead's a bit more, but other than that, this thing looks great! Hooray for the shoulder gun!

 

Yeah I will be painting his head silver to match a little more. And I just put up a pick of a third gun. Its a bit larger. Which of the three is your favorite?

 

I like it all the guns he has and if theres a third one I say go for it. Hardhead, will have enough firepower to be an one bot army. As for paint apps well get a good pic of Hardhead and go from there..I guess you already have. So there you go.

 

I'd say the bigger one on the shoulder and have him hold the smaller one. If the small one is too small for his hands though, I'd keep it on the shoulder and let him hold the big one! Transformers can never have enough guns!

 

he cant really hold either of them in his hands like you would hold a gun. those tread paws are just too huge to hold anything.

 

Hm...then I say go with the bigger one! Of course, it is your custom, so do whatever you feel looks best!
