Im getting close to having everything i want (thats out), so i thought it would be cool to see if anyone else is close. so lets see who's sets are close to complete heres my want list -RTS Windcharger -Universe Starscream -Universe Nemesis Prime -City Commander Armor for my Ultra Magnus -Targetroid - Optiaim vs Megashoton so until new things come out, im stuck to customizing and what ever figures i find for cheap at Ross(and the rest of those stores) which i am more than ok with, gives the wallet a break. Merch that im looking forward to -Targetroid Optiaim repaints (for Nemesis and Magnus) -RTS G2 Optimus Prime Armor Set/Trailer -Prime Bumblebee -Hopefully a lot more Generations figures

While my "wants/to get" list might not be as big as some of the ones in this thread (there's only like 6 figures + the HA Soundwave when it comes out), I don't believe it'll end there, as I'll eventually want to get a bunch more BW toys, and pretty much a lot more than I'll ever be able to afford. Currently though, I'm mainly looking for the Rattrap in my sig, Banzaitron when there's a sale, Lockdown, and some DOTM guys like Cyberfire Bee & Crankcase. In other words, money keeps my hobby in check.
I'm about 10 parts, 31 tech specs and 2 instruction booklets away from having a complete G1 collection. An event 26 years in the making. Only 4 away from a complete BW Neo set!
Right now I think I am in a bad spot, and I have stayed away from G1 for about a year. I can't imagine how bad my list would look if I decided only to focus on "Classics" and MPs. Right now (as in when I have available funds) I am looking for these to complete lines: Classics: Botcon Grimlock, Bugbite, Dreadwing, Optimus Prime, Henkei Crystal Convoy, Henkei Smokescreen, Henkei Mirage, Henkei Wildrider (couple of those may be filled with KOs till I can afford the McCoys). MP: MP-04, MP-04s, MP-08x, MP-09, MP-09B, MP-10 Not to mention that Botcon has gotten me a little back into Animated this year, and I am looking to add: Black Rodimus, Black Optimus, EG Optimus, EG Prowl, Botcon Fisitron, and less expensive Roadbuster Magnus, and Hydro-Bumblebee. After that, I will be in the G1 boat many of you are in. Actually finally got around to taking some pictures of stuff to put on ebay in the next couple days, in hopes of funding the MPs that I need so I can atleast complete one of my lines.
I think I'm about done what I set out to do half a year ago. I mainly collect G1 or G1 inspired figures (very selective on the classics line though) and the Masterpiece series. I started with a goal to have a MINT condition (MIB or MISB) original 1980's G1 version of all the current Masterpiece releases (excluding Ghost SC, Black Prime, Sleep Prime) that I would be displaying in front of it. A quick peak at my collection thread will give you an idea ... During the last 6 months I acquired the following to complete my goal: iGear MP Thrust, Dirge, Ramjet G1 Starscream misb (hardest to track down at a decent price) G1 Thundercracker misb G1 Skywarp mib G1 Thrust misb G1 Ramjet misb G1 Dirge misb AFA75 G1 Rodimus Prime reissue misb G1 Ultra Magnus mib G1 Megatron mib AFA75Q It feels nice to no longer be scouring ebay or sale threads for a while. All this stuff is sitting in 3 different places so I can't wait until I return to Canada in December and put it all in one place and update my collection thread pictures. Moving forward, I'm just going to finish off TFC Hercules and if any other 3rd party company comes out with cool G1 inspired toys I'll consider them too.
I suppose the only thing I might be inching closer towards is a set of Western Animated toys... but since I've got none of the Japanese ones I can't claim to be anywhere finished on them. I need Ironhide, Cybertron Ratchet & Stunticons for America. And the japanese unique ones. For classics I just need a few KO's The Botcon Sweeps and Wheeljack. For the Rescue Bots I just need the Optimus and Bumblebee playsets and Blades/Boulder & Chase when they are actually out. I never did get the 2 twin packs from Movie 2007/2008 like Freeway Battle but other than that I'm not missing much from 2007/2008 could probably do with a loose Payload though. got a lot more gaps for ROTF though and I still have very few Movie EZ toys so they constitute a huge gap. I just need Hulk-dozer, Ghostrider & Some Iron man Crossovers. For Star Wars TF's I need all the new scouts, Black Emperor, Jungle ATAT, and most of the wave before last & Yoda. I'm missing the odd rare Minicon for Superlink/Energon and I still don't have Quickstrike. For DOTM I really want to get Skywarp & Cyberfire Bumblebee... the others I need at the ones not out yet like Mirage/Dino, Leadfoot, and Wheeljack/Q. I also need to get Guzzle and a few other bits of Cyberverse especially the big gift sets. I would get Striker Prime if I can find him under £55.00
I'm close too! My wishlist consists of: Animated Rodimus G1 Springer Recon Ironhide And a few more things that aren't out yet.
After giving up and buying Windcharger on eBay, I'm down to one retail figure yet to get- Guzzle. It's nice to just be waiting on pre-orders and such. (It helps that I don't really buy movie figures.)
It's a good feeling to not be hunting for things all of the time. Also, I guess when I see a thread like this, I'm not really thinking of toys that are post-2007 either. Sometimes, I find myself shocked at all of the cool stuff that's out. I rally all of my Cybertron forces to come hunt you down now. Best be on the lookout. The end is near!
I'm one Legends Prime away from current retail wants being got. At least til Sky Shadow and Junkheap hit.
