I came across this flash drive online, and I think it bears a startling resemblance to G1 Minibot Cliffjumper or red bumblebee. There's a million random usb drive enclosures on this site, like cheeseburgers and such, but this one caught my eye. http://209.85.135.104/translate_c?&u=http://www.donya.jp/item/5000.html
Cool! Good eyes. The increasing storage capacity of USB drives without any real decrease in actual size reminds of "3001." They had these exabyte storage cubes that were basically the size of a USB drive, and the observation is made that after a certain size is just ideal for personal use.
YOU ARE A HUGE DORK. No, I'm sure you're right. I couldn't recall the specifics for sure, and I had just learned the word "exabyte" from "Ocean's 13." Just thought the basic concept was kind of neat one--even a thousand years from, some things are unlikely to change substantially.
I'm pretty sure it was a terabyte, as "tetra" refers to four of something. A terabyte is a legit unit of memory (Source). And no, I haven't seen the movie. I'd buy the Cliffy-esque flash drive if I could find it.
