I don't drive all that often as I walk to work. Sometimes I buckle my seatbelt and mostly I don't. This weekend however I've driven past quite a few police cars without my seatbelt on. I know, I know, I'm a badass. They didn't even flinch. So I'm just curious if I'm one of a few that don't buckle up, or am I one of the masses.
I almost never drive as I walk,I usually do one or the other. Seriously, though, just buckle it. I'd rather be a living pussy than a dead cool guy.
I wear my seatbelt every time. Doesn't matter where I'm going, how fast I'll be driving, I click it. But that's for safety reasons solely. I could give two flying f**ks about a ticket writing, time consuming, "instead of me out saving a rape victim or stopping a mugger, I'll pull this guy over for traveling seven mph over the posted limit in the fast lane just so I can meet my quota on performance and grub a couple of hundred bucks easy from this poor bastard's wallet, haha", uppity ass cop. And for the record, not wearing a seatbelt has zero tallies in the "Cool/Badass" category. If that box gets checkmarked for being badass, you ain't filling out no "I'm cool" card, broham.
I wear my seatbelt whenever I get in a car. Always hear on the news how people in car wrecks get launched through their windshields because they didn't wear one. If you drive and don't wear a seatbelt, you're pretty much asking for death IMHO.
Click it. Three close calls in the family (one with the belt on) is enough for me to wear 'em. Not to mention the fine is hideously huge.
Never been in a high speed collision but I wear one everytime anyway I throw it on by habit without a though in every car I'm in whether driving or not bros
always do while im driving or in the passenger seat. if im in the backseat, i dont though. had a cop watch me because i started the car before putting my seatbelt on. watched me as i left...i think he thinks i'll remove it... i just like the start the car first as it warms/cools the car
Sometimes I wear it. Sometimes I don't. I usually wear it 90% of the time now as I get older without even thinking about "Click it or ticket it." I've know people that were saved by seatbeats and I've know people that swore that they are alive today because they weren't wearing them. I just don't like being told that I have to wear the belt at the cost of some fine. It's a personal choice IMO. If I can kill myself with cigerettes, boozes, and sodas; I should be able to kill myself in the car... but that's just me. Note: I live in a state that up until recently people riding motorcycles didn't have to wear helmets, yet seatbelts are required by law. Next thing we know, we'll be wearing helmets in the car too.
I click it, and besides they just passed a law in Minnesota that you can get pulled over for just not wearing your seat belt , used to be they had to pull you over for somthing else like speeding and also get you for no seat belts
i just don't understand why people don't buckle up. i do it on instinct every time and seriously? what is so bad about a seatbelt that you don't wear it....makes no sense
^I mainly just forget to put it on. I do notice though that if I'm driving a long distance, which is maybe twice a month I will wear it. The results of the poll are very interesting to me. I grew up in somewhat of an old school atmosphere, so I just assumed there would be more people who don't wear a seatbelt. Very Interesting. I guess I'm one of the last of a dying breed along with mom's that smoke and drink while pregnant.
Well, I simply clicked yes because there wasn't a sometimes option. Though I have a friend that in high school was in a really bad wreck. Not wearing his seatbelt in that rare instance did actually save his life. His truck rolled over numerous times and the driver side was crushed to the point that if he were wearing his seabeat, he would have been crushed too. To this day, he will not wear one because of that accident. Does it make sense? No, but I can certainly were he is coming from.
