Which specific bit of a TF's transformation is most ingenious in your opinion? Which bits do you think are especially satisfying?

Two that come to mind are animated shockwaves head change transformation and generations scourge engine>arm transformation. Prime main release vehicons leg fold up is pretty cool too, that's quite a satusfying reduction in kibble.

edit: i also really like the way the classic seeker cockpit twists and folds down to become the robots chest.

I really enjoy built in weapon storage. MP-10's gun storage, for example.

The way they used Skyhammer's rotor. It compressing down into his torso and wrapping around it? Absolute genius.

I know this one will sound odd, yet, I was fascinated by Animated Voyager Bulkhead's wheel/feet transformation. I realize it's very simple, but that's also the reason it's so impressive. The way they pivot from facing sideways to facing straight down, on just one hinge joint, was something that just blew me away. I'm still not quite certain what the technical term(s) to describe the rotation of the joint would be.

PRID Wheeljacks leg transformation. Love the way the leg slides and rotates around. Very simple, but effective and fun.

This. I don't think any one part of a transformation has impressed me as much as this.

agreed, actually i think most of the voyager bulkheads transformation is innovative, the foot twist, the way the arms flip forward on springs (that can actually be activated via button press), the way the whole thing opens/collapses at the head reveal and finally the small hinge that adjusts the position of the back panels, I also love the way his parts are well used in robot, possibly amongst the most satisfying transformers ever!!

Came here to say this. I love that feature.

Also, want to add double joints. It improves a figure 10-fold.

RTS Tracks/Generations Wheeljack's arm storage. Dunno why, but I like it.

(btw, I'm saying this because Scourge's arms and RID Vehicon's legs were already mentioned in the thread.)

agreed, its quite painful but undeniably amazing. I'm really surprised there wasnt a DOTM leader megatron to match that complexity, very unfortunate.

Official, Pride Vehicon's legs. WOW, just WOW!

3P. CODE, his hood is on a slider and starts one place in alt mode and ends up in a completely other place in bot mode. I've seen and transformed a lot of bots in my time but that is the first time I've seen anything like that.

    4. FE Bulkhead. 'Nuff said.

Looking round at the figs currently on my shelf, I was going to say ROTF Ops, too. In particular, the legs/feet. The way the whole bottom of the truck folds up into two very stable, highly poseable legs is genius!

I really like Alternator Tracks's arms. The way that they fold up into the rear of the car is impressive.
