For me,i will not be bitching of how big it will be because i like MP figures to be big size
Thank you, my toughts exactly!
For everyone else, don't get me wrong I do understand your point of view, and I indeed like the line going off like it did, we might have not gotten that many if it was still in that scale, but it was a great size, it would have been quite the Grimlock and a massive Soundwave.
I know it will not happen anymore, but more die-cast and size was in my opinion, the way to go. We allready pay a lot for them anyway and nowadays the price-size ratio is off, imho.
To each his own, and suffice to say, still happy with MP to want them cause they are what we would have wanted way back when it all started as young boys.
BTW found this on Seibertron (slightly off topic, but still worthy of notice)
Packaging Variant for Takara Tomy Transformers Masterpiece MP-12 Lambor and MP-14 Red Alert?
Price/size ratio isn't off at all. The cost is high because you pay the importer's profit on the sale. Diecast is getting exceptionally expensive these days. Very few toys have it. Even many toy cars are reducing the amount of diecast in their lines.
Hasbro/TT charge a tad more for MP for two reasons 1) their production models support it, and 2) we pay it.
Holy shit. They're beautiful.
I want a Blusestreak really bad!!!
I didn't read that before, honest lol
Just received news that there will be an Amazon exclusive version of MP-17 and 18 with "rocket launcher" accessory. I suppose this extra accessory will be based on the toy version's launchers.
Seems odd, considering Amazon JP has already put up orders for both without any sign of exclusive accessories.
Let's wait and see how this turns out.
Will shops be giving us an option to choose to add extra for the exclusive? I would hope so.
Interesting if true.
I doubt it. They may let you switch preorders if true.
HLJ wouldn't be getting this version as they don't get other Japanese retailer exclusives. So people would have to go to Robot Kingdom or perhaps TFSource & BBTS.
If so, that will be interesting.
So is Takara going to keep the word "Patorol" on Prowl's doors? Or do you think they will change it to "Patrol"? Is that just how they spell patrol in Japan?
Any source on that rumor? I would love for this to be true since I pre-ordered from amazon already! And it makes sense, since Sideswipe and Soundwave had little extras from them.....did Alert?
If I had ONE criticism about Prowl it's that his rocket launchers don't match the toy design since he never used them on the cartoon....but it's a very minor quibble....I still think he looks just about perfect! (Engrish aside!)
well clearly you can have the rockets Not deployed if you so choose to have him more toon accurate.
Well yes, of course you can! Which is awesome! But the best scenario would be an additional set of toy-accurate launchers as a further display option. Fingers crossed that this pans out.
So is Takara going to keep the word "Patorol" on Prowl's doors? Was this a mistype? Do you think they will change it to "Patrol"? Or, is that just how they spell patrol in Japan?
We have no idea. These are promotion images, so anything can change.
Speaking of accesories, looking at the pictures from Amazon JP there doesnt seem to be any EXTRA accessories for Blue Streak.
There are shoulder canons for Prowl as people have stated as the AMAZON exclussive accessory but I guess I was expecting something else, like with the Lambo cars.
The shoulder cannons shown in the pics on Prowl are a part of the figure. They are permanently attached, just like Bluestreak's. You can see them in stowed position in some of the pictures.
We are discussing a hypothetical "extra" set of launchers, not the ones seen in the pics.
Wonder if the mentioned Amazon JP extras will be just actual rockets that plugs into the built-in launchers or replacement parts (with the cannons being detachable).
Just wait for Dr Wu to rip it off
A misspelling? Rabble rabble, "Masterpiece," rabble.
Separate names with a comma.
