Ha! That's awesome that you can pose the car arms a la G1 toy! :lol

I'm still getting the TT version, but I'm torn over Dead End's missing stripe. I wonder how hard it would be to just remove the Hasbro's painted stripe parts on to TT's?

Can anyone check over their Dead End, please? Then I'll know if I should buy the Hasbro one. Thanks in advance!

It's paint, so you can't remove it from one figure to another like a sticker.

No I mean remove the car parts, hood, roof, trunk, and replace the TT parts with Hasbro's or vise versa. I like TT's version without the grey side panels, but why neglect the one feature that distinguished Dead End?

And I'm not interested in the Repolabels, because it makes it too toy/cheep/tacky looking in my eyes. If Repolabels offered the simple, elegant, single matallic(not shiny reflective) gold stripe, then I'm game.

The mold itself has issues, so all this fancy repainting does nothing for me. :(

This guy is just an overall disappointment, IMO. I'll be spending the extra $$$ on a PE torso-adjustment set, instead. After all the anticipation of seeing Menasor, as imagined by Grandpa Hasbro, I'm just incredibly disappointed with the final product, and embarrassed it needs an add-on kit to make it half-decent. :confused2

Not just fancy repainting, with TT better picture quality & creative posing skills can't even save this toy.

Out of all the CW combiners he's the least desirable of them all.

Looks so much better than the Hasbro one. Still needs a new head though.

It seems to include 2 "crowbars" to be placed in Motormaster's hands in combined mode. I wonder if that's just for photography or how it comes?

Looks like the exhaust pipes Dead End and Wildrider use as weapons.

Was planning on getting original CW Menasor but now that Generation 2 Menasor is confirmed, I plan on getting that one instead. (I love anything G2!)

The limbs look so boring... but I'm getting him basically just for Motormaster.

The pipes on the shoulders, I did that with my CW Menasor but placed them upright :p

I'm curious how he'll look if you replace this Drag Strip with the Hasbro version.

I think this is one case where neither the Hasbro nor Takara one is significantly better than the other. TT's Motormaster looks much nicer than the Hasbro one, but the limbs are either unchanged or kinda plain looking(in my opinion) with atleast Drag Strip and Dead End missing paint details that the Hasbro ones have.

Takara Motormaster + Hasbro limbs would be the ideal combo for me, but alas, can't buy MM seperately. I like the Hasbro MM well enough anyway, so ah well.

Shame you couldn't just get their Motormaster separately.

Yeah, not a fan about this. I still think that the Hasbro versions look much better.

But eh, I already sold my Hasbro's Stunticons for a profit here in Peru and I want that box so I guess I will get this.

One thing I can near universally praise Takara for is packaging. The boxart looks fantastic (probable the same person/people doing the MP artwork).
I hope you manage to find MM at least; he seems to pop up every now and then.
I agree with at this.least much: there's no clear winner between Hasbro and Takara on this one.
I actually prefer Hasbro's Motormaster but each one suffers in one mode while shining in two. Takara's Motormaster is more show accurate in Menasor mode while Hasbro's is actually more g1 toy accurate (and by extension accurate to any portrayal based on that such as Studio Ox and Dreamwave). Truck mode Takara wins for sure but in bot mode Takara's ends up too black while Hasbro's is true to Motormaster.
Dragstrip feels boring to me on Takara's but he is show accurate whereas Hasbro's just looks nice to me. The other three limbs for me are sort of a tie.
