I would be shocked if it's brand new and not just an improvement over the ERs. Fleshing out the sled and improving the feet, for example. Yeah if it's the same person who put certain words over their last leak....we really need the community to stop giving them attention and credit. Since ER started, they've been trending hard towards Selects based on things that have existed rather than "what ifs." My assumption is that since Selects are aimed squarely at "us" the hope is basing them on obscure or vintage figures makes them more appealing to the member-berries.
I really hope they give up a proper new character name. “Guard” totally sounds like a placeholder or a partial.

I’d be up for a dual-purpose figure (though I don’t see Hasbro being that collector-friendly). But it does seem more likely than getting the same color scheme on two different leader-class toys.
To be fair, the original Ironhide and Ratchet toys were half sleds, half robot. I think the ER figures are fine with that in mind.

If they included the pieces to make it sled, maybe, but I would prefer the vehicle modes to be almost entirely self-contained, without needing to rip off the entire roof to accomplish a robot mode and then have nowhere to put it in robot mode, like you can plug the back portions of the car on Cliffjumper and Bumblebee into their backs to give them their little backpack.
I suspect that's just the way they are after assembly and before someone puts them into a proper mode for packaging.
Man, if this is legit it is soooooo bought... Well over half the fandom considers WFC/FOC as a separate entity to TFP, which runs counter to what TFWiki says, and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Don't be a sheeple. Well, if it were me... ... I'd go this route.
If SG Magnus does not have a skull face it will be a complete disappointment. There should be some variation if this mold is being used yet again
