Not a lot to report here. My intent was to repaint Sector 7 Hardtop into Beachcomber. My other intent was to not use any more paint that I absolutely needed to, so the toy could still be handled often without much damage. The result is a darker, grimmer ... something. :)

P.S. The gun came from the Classics 2-pack Megatron.

    Wow...

    Civil War Beachcomber? ;-)

I like the touches, and how he looks, even if the Hardtop mold isn't one of my favorites. The mold does fit Beachcomber very well, and good 'ol "hippy" Beachcomber was one of my favorite characters from G1.

If there was an Alternators version of Beachcomber, it would HAVE to be a Toyota FJ Cruiser in it's Voodoo Blue color.

Mold def. fits, but I'd love to see him all in blue, but I understand why you didn't do it.

There's already been at least a few good Beachcomber repaints out there. Personally I like the S7 Hardtop as-is mostly except for the olive drab bits (makes sense though given the altmode), so I decided to tie my want for a Beachcomber repaint to that, using some silver, metallic gray, and metallic blue in spots to make something which is evocative of the Beachcomber character, though not a direct lift of the color scheme.
