Here is a guy I have been wanting to do ever since I saw Animated Oil-Slick. I knew he would take a lot of bulking up to pass him off as the pop-culture obsessed leader of the Junkions. I added a lot of mass to the arms and legs with styrene and some random parts. I really wanted to go for a pieced together look. I never really understood the fact that the Junkions were supposed to be cobbled together from junk, but they looked rather solid and shiny. I always envisioned them as basic robots that added parts that caught their eye while roaming their planet. My Wreck-Gar is beaten up rusty, and riveted together from sheet metal discarded on the planet of Junk. He is still a little "thin" for my tastes, but I think the compromises worked out well over-all. Now just to build a Junkion to ride him! Enjoy! p.s. The painting on Sinnertwin is wrapping up tonight, so I should be able to post him tomorrow.
I saw the pics of the bot mode first then read the beginning of the description and got to the part where it said he was made from oil slick and just stopped, thinking, no way I could not have read that right. Awesome job, totally changed the look of the bot. Still can see Oil Slick in the cycle, but thats ok. awesome Wreck Gar!!
You sir have just proved the impossible, possible (turning Animated toys into Classics toys). That is beautiful!
I think this is fantastic! The mods are cool. The painting is wonderful. If I had to make a suggestion it would be to add larger wheels (maybe even to the front forks only. If he's pieces together, they don't need to match.). Otherwise, home run!
Hasbro needs to pay attention to this kind of figure and, you know, MAKE IT! not galvitrons that fall apart......
This is extremely awesome. The axe confuses me, though. I see no evidence of it at all in the bike photos.
I like it man I just think the robot mode looks too boxy and the bike mode looks really weird with those wheels. that said its still nice work
Holy crap-in-a-hat! One of THEE most awesome bashes I've seen in a really long time! I dont even see animated in it anymore! Kuuuuu-dos!!
HELLOOOOO JUNKION!!! This is mind blowingly awesome. I think this is the first successful kitbash of a animated fig into a classics IMO. And the autobot symbol even looks junked and like it's about to come off. The paints apps are even sweeter with the scrapes and dings. The only think I would add to this already sweet custom are some actual dents. And a chest tv
that i really sick custom for Junkion..im saw one guy in utube doing the same thing..about 2-3 different figures of Junkion too..already ask him to post here..but i think urs is better due to effects.. the amount of "Junk" at his body is superb applied..however only one gripe...if you can add spike to all-round-tyres it will be perfect...
