This is a thought I've been having for a while. I know classics is basically G1 revamped, but if it happened, what would happen if Classics-verse characters fought their G1 selves?

Am I the only one who's had this thought?

Nah, he isn't. I have my -very- sparse G1 collection above my Classics and have always wondered which Prime would take it. Seeing as how I only have basically Optimi from G1 right now, that's all I can really imagine haha.

Personally, even though he's a brick, I'd still put money on Powermaster Prime.

Sarcastic, sure but, wouldn't narcissism be: 'No, -I- had them first!' ;p

Classics would win. They have knees.

i don't know about you guys, but i seriously don't see how g1 optimus prime can fight classic voyager prime.

i mean, g1 can't even move his head :lol

not to mention, most of them are double the size of their g1 counter parts. especially the cars! :lol

well, i suppose old g1 can look up. :lol  and if you break the little post in his chin, i suppose then he can move his head too.

but still doesn't change the fact that while he can move his arms, he can't move his legs. *at least not in a actually useful way* and on top of all that, his gun tends to be heavier then his hands. causing them to slip out of their little holes :lol

so g1 can't move his head, unless you break him, he can't aim at anything that's not in front of him, his legs can only bend backwards, and he has a big huge HOLE in his back where his "spark" would be.

i don't see this being much of a fight.

but it's a much better fight then the one of g1 and classics gun megatron...

    at least optimus had elbows...

    :lol

Also, he isn't even holding the gun by the handle where the trigger is.

Classics/Universe figures would destroy G1 figures. Seriously, all they'd have to do is knock them down. Most have no way to get back up, being without knees, elbows, hips... you know, the essential joints required to move.

oh right i forgot about that. :lol  he's holding the, ammunition clip?

it's amazing when you look at g1 figures and today's classic figures and beyond. and wow, has transformers come a LONG way.

when even a legends/cyberverse figure has more articulation then your average g1 :lol

Isn't this like "What if 2011 Arnold Schwarzenegger fought 1984 Arnold Schwarzenegger"?

Also, why do good guys have to fight each other? I never really got into that from a fiction standpoint. Unless the plot gave it a really good explanation, like two good guys with very different (but equally valid) views on how to proceed with a major serious situation, and each one standing in the other one's way, I never cared much for "Hero A vs. Hero B". I want to see the good guys fight the bad guys, not have a tournament among each other.

I don't think this topic was meant to be strictly "G1 toys vs. Classicverse toys".

It's more like "G1 cartoon characters versus fiction adaptations of their Classics counterparts".

as a toyline c.h.u.g.r.t.s is everything that the g1 toyline should have been the first time around figure wise as 1 they are super posable 2 they are entirely new toys based on the originals but with a more modern day feel for the memorable characters and 3 they actually look like the characters animation model at least in a reasonable way for the most part where possible.

way i see it these are the toys we should have got the frirst time around way back in the day.

hell that clascis style nonstructicons and masterpeice style notdevastator that tfclub has designed over tyime makes the original 6 g1 constructicons and thier combiner form of devastator look like a shrunk down and very badly designed very cheaply made knock off in comparison

im not syaing that to be insulting im just being hoenst on the matter when it comes to my thoughts and opinion .

i apologize though if i have offended anyone on the matter

Well I'd say classics, but when it comes to Powermaster Optimus Prime, he takes them on all singlehandedly.

All the G1 toys were 4 feet tall and transformed themselves and were made of solid metal not like these NU PLAYSKOOL FIGARS...

So G1 would win, at least, assuming I'm remembering the toys of my youth properly.

Well it was entertaining to watch, this is what I meant for this discussion. if it was about toys, I would have put it in the TF toy area.
