A little over $50 for me with shipping, but much better than ebay for the exculsive. Never thought I'd be getting this Transformer.

EDIT: P.S. When I first clicked on the link it put 12 Transformers in my basket. :lol

Yeah, I'm aware of that. Shortly after my initial post I shot off a e-mail to their customer service asking for my order to be canceled as well. Still haven't heard from them, but I feel better hearing that others have had their orders successfully canceled.

I tried to go through the Africa site to see how much it would cost to ship, and a message popped up saying that there is a $50 "cost and administration fee," in addition to cost, shipping, and potential customs duties. . .I think that I will pass.

Ordered mine this morning around 6 hours ago and the only prob I got was the quantity changing. they did say they had 75 on back order at the time so I have no idea when I will get it.

p.s. UK based too so no silly fees just postage and packing to pay (so far...)

I can imagine that most of the Euro and UK members are laughing at the US for having to deal with the crap they have to go through on a regular basis for toys.

I've skimmed the past few pages and haven't seen anyone post this.

I sent the US Chevy store an email asking if we'd be getting this figure in the states, here's the reply I got:

So could this mean they might offer one in the future, just not at this time, or we're never going to be getting one in the states. I'd really hate to have to spend so much for this guy but looks like the Europe store, or eBay, will be my only chance.

I'm not really laughing but I do have a stupid grin on my face :D  <- like that one.

I just ordered mine (I hope he shows up soon) this is pretty exciting cos he's the first exclusive I've ever purchased, Ive got some Japanese figs and my good ol' G1 figs but this is the first truly "rare" fig I've owned, I don't want to be selfish but I really hope he dosn't get a mass release and ruin this feeling for me, haha, but as someone said earlier in the thread I think the chevy badge on the grill will put a stop to that.

From my understanding, the Aveo he's based on is a European version, hence why it most likely won't be availible here.

...I gotta hit up my UK friend and bug her into nabbing one for me >_>

I don't feel bad about getting one initially from ebay. Now I'm getting another one much cheaper. Maybe I'll take it with me to Botcon to sell/trade.

Man i was going to order one too but those exorbitant fees! It's the Euro35 documentation fee or whatever fee that just kills it for me. Expensive shipping I can understanding but basically paying an addition US$50 for someone to scribble some chicken scratch on some forms. Blashemy!

Well that explains it, it's the French! They can't stand us.

If the Germans invaded them today I'd be inclined to just sit back, wave, and say "hope you like saurkraut and schnitzel!"

One thing this thread has going for it is that I find it funny as hell. Never have I seen so many people so happy about canceling an order on a one of a kind TF

Now I know how you feel about all of the TF releases that never make it to UK retail. Hell, I'd probably stop collecting altogether if it was like this for everything.
