    Hi All.

Second installment of the FOC seeker upgrade kit goes to Thundercracker.
I spent a little more time prepping the parts after printing this time and the paint finish was better. So, it was worth the extra time.

Thundercracker is now pretty much done. I have now included pics of the figure with the newer retractable arm cannons (cannons extended) on both arms and I have also included a pic in alt mode (cannons retracted).

I wasn't sure whether to paint his forearms dark grey. He sometimes appeared in the shows that way. Any thoughts welcome.

    Hope you like...

    Thanks for the comments guys.
I wish I could offer to do this for you Stormvapor. I can get you the parts...
The challenge I have with these projects is the time to do it all :(
I did a bit more yesterday, touched up a few of the silver bits, added the arm cannon mounts and coated most of the figure in semi gloss, to give that nice smooth feel.
I still need to paint the black on his feet and his tail fin, and get his arm cannons done.
Here is the pic from yesterday. One small step at a time....

If you are offering the add-on parts, I love to tackle one of these, let me know via pm :)

I have updated the thread with a new picture of Thundercracker. Pretty much done, except the wing and tail fin stripes. I even decided to paint his FOC cannons to match his new blue.
Also, I have been working on a more G1 style arm cannon that can be extended and retracted for robot and jet mode respectively.
I've always disliked the size of the seeker cannons in jet mode so I though I would give this a go. I am happy so far but it still needs a few tweaks.

Man that is so beautiful mate. I cannot comment enough on that shade of blue that you have used on T-cracker. I am not usually a fan of the blue's that have been normally associated with him, but this is gorgeous. And I am not going to comment on the printed work, as you already know how I feel about that. :D  The new "cannon" design is rather daring, clever, and epic. Excellent work mate!

Thanks Stormvapor. Appreciate your comment. You'll have to let me know which version of the cannons you prefer.
Now that I have got the print robust, I am definitely switching to the new cannons for my figures.
It does take a little more finishing off of the printer but it completes the look IMO.
Here are a couple of new pics with the new cannons showing in robot and jet mode.

    Thanks.
Yeah, the head isn't the best but its kind of grown on me. At one point i did consider chopping the chin off, but i didn't. I wasn't sure if it'd make a mess of the face.
I might consider trying to print a new head in future at some point but I don't know....we'll see. The coneheads will have a new head when I eventually get round to completing them.
I still have so many projects I want to get stuck into.

Just received the thigh extensions, leg guards, and thruster stabilizers for my three FOC seekers and I got to tell you if your a fan of this mold and thought they were a bit short it is the BEST bang for your buck you can buy. My whole purchase was only $21 and I received taller and much more sleek looking FOC seekers.

If your like me and you have difficulty addressing the weird in between scale of seekers (taller then modern Deluxes, but not as tall as Voyagers) this set is for you. It's super easy to install all the parts slide right into place and Omegaonline provides the best customer service.

I STRONGLY recommend picking these up.

This looks so good if I had not bought a custom set of voyager seekers I would be all over this very nice.
