remember this little fellow? i was going through my classics and i found this guy again. i started to pay with it and wellllll................. what do u guys think of the mold? i dont like it.....
There's a feedback thread for this im sure but to stay on topic. I like him but only after I figured out the alternate TF for his shoulders. You have to make it so the wheels face forward. It adds articulation and good aesthetic.
Meh. The truck mode relies on a piece of removable kibble that integrates with the plane mode about as well as Gary Glitter at a primary school picnic. The robot mode is alright, but that sodding great lump of kibble has nowhere to usefully or unobtrusively attach. Overall: meh. Astrotrain kicks his aft.
Love him. I've liked Octane ever since I bought him. Even the Comb of Doom isn't that bad, if you use it right. Easily one of my favourite Classics/Universe 'Cons.
he is FAR better then his g1 counter part, and the mold, while not spectacular, is still pretty fun, it would of been better if it was a voyager mold *just like galvatron* BUT it's still a nice toy.
Well, like most triple-changers, it's not going to be perfect. Tankor/Octane is no exception. But he is a decent figure and a nice update to Octane. Great figure if you like triple-changers. . .
Definitely not. We get so few new Uni-Classics mould, let's see characters they haven't done at all before demanding resculpts. We're not Star Wars fans, people!!!
i got the henkei version, the plane mode is nice, i don't like the bot mode..its difficult to get a good pose.
The first time I carefully transformed it, he got a white stress line in his shoulder. That makes it rubbish for me - that and I think it looks terrible.
He is fair, but well on the low end as far as Classics goes. I really wish they'd make a true triple-changer at a larger size. Astrotrain and Octane are their only real attempts (A. Blitzy notwithstanding) at a legit 3-changer in years and they are only deluxes. It would look small in the package, but they'd have to make less compromises in the designs with the extra parts and size. It is a pipe dream, but I'm really pining for a MP triple-changer...it could be anyone. I just know if they gave one of these a lot of attention, we could get an amazing toy.
Haven't met a Classics/Universe yet that I didn't like. (except maybe 2 pack Prime, and even then his Bot mode is pretty cool)
