    DONE!!

    Next project for me is to try and come up with a version of Soundwave that fits into the Classics line up.
    What I want for this figure is an updated characterization. Tape deck and cassette theme isn't going to work. So, I am using the WFC figure as a base. I kinda like the vehicle mode and also the fan mode media player. So, that will be a good starting point.
    The intention from there is to add a bit more size to the figure and some additional functionality that will allow him to carry his minions. I'm going for a Soundwave that is still Megatron's right hand man and master in communications interception and manipulation, but he is also going to be ready for the offensive with a set of minions that are weaponized spys and saboteurs.
    The minions I will be using with WFC Soundwave are PE Frenzy/Rumble, and Iron Factory Lazerbeak, Buzzsaw and Ravage. All of which are excellent little figures and fit the scale perfectly.
    I've started this evolution already and have a few pics but, like my other projects, this will end up being a pretty comprehensive upgrade kit as there will be a number of knock on modifications required, as a result of some of the things I want to do.

    Anyway, here he is....my Classics Soundwave in the making.
    Let me know what you think...

    EDIT
    * Upper body kit completed.
    * Lower & Upper waist kit completed.
    * Waist-Upper body adapter completed.
    * PE Warrior handle upgrades completed (they can now be attached securely to a standard 5mm port)
    * New forearms with 5mm ports completed.
    * Backpack canopy completed.
    * New hands completed.

    All mod parts now completed. Figure will now be prepped and painted.
    Figure is painted and good for display.

    This looks promising. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

    If this even turns out half as good as the seeker kit you made, it'll be fantastic. From what I can see, this is going to be a very interesting take on Soundwave's look... And I think I like it.

    Thanks for the feedback guys. Here is a new pic showing a bit more progress. The final version will have both feet :)

    I'm a fan of the Voyager FOC Soundwave/Soundblaster. I have the PE Frenzy and Rumble (although the pistol/handle doesn't stick to the main gun on my version...

    I always wanted this version of Soundblaster to have all of his minions as armour, shields, weapons etc, which could ask combine to various parts of him in bit mode, and then again as satellite dishes, car parts, etc in his ATV mode.

    Good luck!

    I have the same problem with PE Frenzy and Rumble. I am planning to fix it as part of the upgrade kit by redesigning the handle into a 5mm port that actually stays in place properly.

    The minion layout I am planning right now is for IF Lazerbeak and Buzzsaw to insert into new forearm adapters, that will allow them to act as side shields in both robot and vehicle mode, for PE Rumble and Frenzy to either have a lower leg mount option or a rear mount on a new back pack, that will also house IF Ravage.

    All being well, Soundwave should end up being a complete bada$$ with armaments everywhere.

    BTW, if you don't have the IF EX03 or EX03s kits, I recommend them. The minions fit the classics line perfectly and are great little figures.

    If

    If those add-on adapters will work with FOC TT Soundblaster, please let me know! I would love a fix for the Frenzy/Rumble handles.

    No problem. I'll basically just be redesigning the PE handles so they should fit into any standard 5mm hand port, and stay in place in the PE figures themselves.
    I'll show them in this thread when I get to them and then just let me know if you're still interested.

    New pic showing Soundwave standing on both feet :)
    Since the last pic, I redesigned the waist components. He now has a waist swivel and a ball joint to allow even greater posability. These components were quite a challenge to design due to their criticality to the transformation, while also trying to increase the overall height of the figure and fill out his midsection.
    They still need minor mods to fit together a little better but what you see in this pic is essentially the chest and waist kit.
    The 'teeth' can still be added back to the figure if desired and so can the wheels. The wheels actually look much more integrated into the body, in line with the modified chest section, when compared to the stock 'look' where the wheels dominate the figures waistline.
    Next task is arm mounts to allow minions to attach.

    Tweaked the lower waist to make it slightly wider and better proportioned.
    Also, PE Warrior handle upgrades completed.
    Soundwave now has 2 BFGs to work with when tackling his enemies.
    Next up are the forearm adapters. I tried a first design today and it didn't work out. So, back to the drawing board....

    I have an update. New forearms are done. They will need tweaking for vehicle mode but the basic design and application is complete for robot mode.
    Here is Soundwave commanding Frenzy and Buzzsaw in Heavy Blaster and Shield mode. Starting to look like he could take on an army :)
    They are attached to the redesigned forearms via new 5mm ports.
    Hope you like...

    Quick update showing Soundwave and Lazerbeak (attached to the new adapters). The pic also shows Soundwaves vehicle wheels attached and how they fit with the modified chest piece.
    Currently working on the next step which is a new canopy to cover Soundwaves head in vehicle mode. This will also be a backpack in Robot mode that will allow minion attachment.
