No end cap in my neck of the woods, but an associate was kind enough to get a set out of the back for me. The woman who initially answered my page is going to be working 15 hrs today. Yeesh!

There shouldn't be any issues ringing it up either, with the dcpi in the computer correctly.

Actually, I'd say the 2/4 date was entirely correct. Remember, it was the set date for the endcap, the date by which it's supposed to be in place, not the earliest possible date to find it. Like Dark Magnus said, we could possibly expect the product to be in stock as much as 2-3 weeks before the set date. Lo and behold....

It's not wrong. It's that some stores are putting it out early. (Like they usually do)

Can someone explain me what to do with the DPCI number if I go to a Target (traveling to Dallas in early february) and don't find the set on shelves?

I'll be like an afternoon there, so I may be able to hit a Wal*Mart, a Target and a TRU (the ones near Irving Mall)

Most Targets have do-it-yourself price scanners scattered throughout the store.

If they have the scanners that include a keypad, you just punch the DPCI# in, and the system tells you whether the item is in the stockroom. If it's in stock, you can ask an employee to retrieve it for you (with variable results).

If they don't have keypads on their DIY scanners, you're basically left with finding an employee and asking him/her to punch the DPCI# into his/her handheld scanner.

I found them today too, also in the Chicago area.

I found them at the Melrose Park store on North Ave. if anyone is curious.

we looked for those keypads today. my friend wanted to punch some dcpi's for some Star Wars stuff but the one we hit didn't have it. I was going to ask someone, but I've spent so much lately i'm gonna wait to see it.

handy to know if they have or are going to get stuff...

One of my local buddies, fabexmax, just found 'em at a Target, but he had to do the "ask the stocker" thing, so it's just a matter of time now until they're shelf-bound.
